船麵主要的發源自然來自泰國水上的船隻，船隻做生意為了趕時間，便將麵弄成一小碗，船伕能利用零碎時間快速一口吸光一碗，後來又因為船會晃所以演變成碗大，麵湯少，以免湯灑麵翻！ 隨著時代變遷逐漸演變成現在在陸地上吃的船麵😊
