very very I don’t think so. Hes very good but I think he’s protecting his high notes. Billie shows her abilty to belt a note. I don’t know if he can belt the B4 towards the end of the song. I imagine it’s not as nice as Billies or he would be doing it

@@bradywindstream I don't think that he is the best. But I still prefer his way of singing this song. Belting is good but there are other important things too. As for me Billie uses way too much vibrato and I don't like her whispering, ASMR-like style... And also for boy it is harder to belt this note anyway...

Brady Anderson I think he’s trying not to be loud, maybe his family at home and he feels embarrassed, or maybe he just doesn’t know how to use his voice to comfortably belt and use dynamics of loudness, transitions, falsettos, and all that he’s trying to do. He kept everything in the same level of loudness, which is why I’m thinking he doesn’t want to be heard and sound too loud. Also, he does a lot of runs and the strength in his falsettos are very R&B, which isn’t Billie. Billie has a good low register and her strengths lie in there. You don’t need to belt to be amazing. You need to know your voice, its capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, and potential to navigate through whatever aesthetic and story you’re trying to tell. I think Billie has gotten a lot of it down at such an early age, which is what makes her the “prodigy” likeness to her fans. You Billie mega fans are too much though. Her sustaining a belt... ONE belt, isn’t proving she could do that all the time. Plus, that ONE belt was weak af. Iat wasn’t round and didn’t have much power and her vibrato wobbled when it went came down from her “belt”. Meanwhile, that one note is a piece of cake to most pop stars, even a shitty one like Halsey. This leads me to vocal range. Billie’s vocal range is in the lower register, for her. She’ll learn how to better her range as she gets older. This kid will also get better. This kid’s vocal range is comfortably within her vocal range. I’m sure this kid’s lower register isn’t that well controlled and probably can’t too low. Have you heard Bruno Mars go really low (in a singing voice not just a sound)? Everyone has their own vocal range. Females usually have higher voices than Males. Even with that, Billie can’t sustain a b4, correct me if I’m wrong, without feeling like she’s giving it her all, but not much is happening. It’s so incredible how a singer who isn’t known for being a powerhouse voice does something remotely “high” and “strong” that she gets praise and the seas part, meanwhile, most divas in the 90s can do that in their sleep. Point is, don’t bring this kid down just to bring your favorite pop star up, without knowing what you’re talking about because her non fans will bring you and her back down to Earth. Re. Lax.
