That is entirely my view. I was grateful and disappointed at the same time. The colours look ok. The idea is ok... but this personally for me is not to the standards of the Le Grand Mint... 3d high relief or bolder colours ... but again not for me either bud.

Sorry but it is priced too high for a half ounce. It's nice but not worth the investment for what it is.

I have to say that for what I am willing to pay for a 1oz coin it falls on the higher side as well and I fully understand and get that. I am only showing the coins. I don't promote them for any gains.

Don't apologise about your views.. EVER! I know what you mean. And I was prepared to slam them. But as I said it could be the first coin you give to new born child and continue with basic silver every year. Its a starter coin LOL well gift if you have nothing else in mind... and there are some members of family speaking from personal experience that you think silver spoon... no.... rattle ... no. and then there is something like this... so I see why.. but not for me either.

You nailed it on that comment. It is in my view geared for that first kid. I can only think that it could be used as a gift for someone that you might be interacting with to start their collection at birth. But it is there to mark an occasion. However as we both would agree the price .. I would rather buy many maples or ASE's or Brits than this if it was my own money. I was surprised Le Grand Mint went in this direction. But I see why as well. It is a very odd mixed feeling I have on it. One hand I see the point and like it.. the other I hate it.

Some of my fellow esteemed viewers are being somewhat a bit harsh I think. It’s meant as a gift to a young one to start off their collections. What did some of these commentators expect, a great engraver masterpiece?!! 😅 There’s some of those stupid Harry Potter and Star Wars coins that would give this coin a run for its money when it comes to tacky and awful coins! It’s just a bit of fun and it’s nice for what it is! Thanks for the review✌️

I know, but everyone is allowed to voice their views. And I respect them for doing so. The thing is it is geared for a very niche market and a moment in time. So it might or might not be a hard sell. I see why Le Grand Mint took the time to make these, and in such limited numbers as well. But I can also sympathise with the majority here who say it is well not for them. I don't promote these I only show them off and let you the viewer decide it if is a coin you want. And for me it is not one I would buy, at least not at the moment.. I don't know anyone of my family or close friends who are pregnant.

@Diaxus I try to show lots of steps. I don't just pour into graphite or sandcast . I also lost wax and more. So showing all the steps or making a piece is more time consuming. I usually show the pour and then follow it up with me finishing it and then after it's assayed it goes on my website for sale
