My theory about Vegapunk is that he can split his body mass and aspects of himself into separate independent entities, which is why there are several vegapunks. his body mass is split but because he has a huge head in the past and here we see apple vegapunk, his head supplied all of the actual mass.

If you look at the list of people who we know has a D in their name, Saul was the one that really stood out me. Aside from dying with a smile on his face, he didn’t do anything extraordinary to put him in that next tier of people to shake up the world…until this chapter. We know how big the grand line is, and we also learned the grand line is split between two halves, New World/ Paradise. Plus Elbaf is at the end of the second half. If Saul tried to find her, Robin likely spent some time running and hiding from her only friend in the world without realizing it. I think we have a huge split up coming: Usopp, Robin, Sanji - Elbaf Franky, Nami, Chopper - Egg Head Luffy, Zoro, Jimbe, Brook - Revolutionaries/Dragon/Sabo This will give us powerups for Franky, Usopp, and maybe Nami (Climate Tech) and Chopper (Devil Fruit Secrets) and shed light on major parts of the stories before they all meet up again in time for the final battle for the One Piece.

I thought it was already pre-determined that Ohara would be destroyed and ultimately kill Clover. The reason they ordered CP9 to shoot him before he spoke the name of the ancient kingdom was because that was something even CP9 agents are never allowed to learn. They previously only responded to Clover by saying "Interesting" because he was only speaking about a theory and the Gorosei was putting on a face as to not confirm his theory in front of their agents. When Clover was about to say the kingdom's name he said this was something they discovered "for certain". Warning them to shut him up right then and there and not leave it to the buster call.

Today I read your book and I just want to say I was amazed by the world building, descriptons, and characters (I specificallyreally liked Dreg and Roach). I also really like how you did pirates in the world in a really interesting way, and still doesn't feel like something stolen from One Piece but I assume you wanted to do pirates because of. One Piec . It's so well written its hard to believe it's your first book. There are quite a few mysteries I'm intrigued about and I really like the point at which the book ended, and I can't wait for the next book. Also when is the next volume coming out??????

I think it's possible that Kuzan won that fight with Akainu. If you think about it, the person who takes the Fleet Admiral position is sidelined. Akainu would have definitely preferred to be in the action like Kuzan is now. Either Kuzan threw the fight or the winner got to go under cover. There's gotta be more to it.

I’m personally expecting the big mom pirates to split into 3 groups. The big mom pirates led by perospero, the new pirate group led by Kat, and the third group of deserters that just do their own thing. I don’t think perospero and Kat are similar enough for one to follow the other and they both have a claim for captain. Kat being the strongest and pero being the 1st son.

@@ReturnOfGodEnel I'm not sure she will return as villain of the three pirates that were part of the Roc's crew in the main story none of them started out as evil and are inherently evil. Two of them are corrupted versions of Luffy and the third is what Luffy in many ways aspires to be. Big Mom wants a table where everyone can eat on the same level and is family oriented. Kaido thought he was Joy Boy, when he realized he wasn't he became bitter drunk. When and if Big Mom and Kaido travel to Elbaf any antagonism won't last long because of the World Government is their mutual enemy.

You know I was thinking of how Vegapunk might have split up his brain while still being alive, and who would be smart enough to perform this surgery on him. Then I realized, if we were to rank the Vegapunk satellites based on intelligence or IQ, it would make sense that as he continued to remove chunks of his brain, he was getting more and more senile or insane. You can kinda see how each new satellite starting from 1 to 6 gets more and more whacky looking and their responsibilities and characteristics get wilder and wilder until you reach York, which was the part of the brain that he cared the least about.

Skee Whoa the lore of this chapter... Connecting Egghead with Ohara was amazing, I thought it was gonna be Void Century but not Ancient Kingdom as well. Seeing Young Clover was cool, especially being a founder of Ohara itself and being captured 10 times, but also knowing Vegapunk and Dragon is a huge boon - I kinda hope we get a flashback of that as well. I have some waryness about the ancient kingdom though, what would compel 20 kingdoms to war against one? I wonder if the Ancient Kingdom was all good, power corrupts over time after all, but it is also shady of the 20 to erase the kingdom so their will didn't carry on. I do think it's weird that the books remained in the lake for months on end, and still managed to remain readable. It's pretty awesome though that Ohara was the tipping point for Dragon, learning more about him and that he was against fighting at first feels like it's gonna come back, but also this is the first time where I've seen a panel of Dragon resembling Luffy - though now we have to slightly entertain possibility that Dragon could be Robin's father as well right? If he knew Clover he must've visited Ohara a few times before and he came with flowers, I don't think it's true - honestly I'd prefer Roger - but it's a possibility. Saul though, I have skepticism. I'd be thrilled if he were alive and 'the man marked by flames' but something does feel off: when he met Robin he made a point of saying he's not like the giants of Elbaf, but now he's working with Elbaf, it also means Aokiji let him live right? Wouldn't that be worth telling Robin post-Enies Lobby? And we know his silhouette so why keep him shadowed? I'd be happy if it were Saul but I feel like it's almost too obvious, and Shaka never did confirm his name was Saul. If I were to guess though he's probably holed up in Elbaf - hide a tree in a forest - which'd lead into the arc after this. If anything it's just nice to see Robin happy. Stella body Vegapunk was another unexpected design, I mean how can you miss that forehead? Also in the world of Neck Piece why does he still have a tiny neck and chicken legs? It is interesting how he seeks kindred spirits in the WG, and only doesn't join Dragon because of funding (especially since the satellites are still complaining about funding). His older design is cool, mixing Einstein with Newton, I wonder though if he's the 'dumbest' Vegapunk now though, since it seems evident that he may've split his brain into his satellites. We're likely gonna see Bonney go apeshit on him now, so I wonder if answers are coming soon; he seemed pretty friendly about meeting Luffy and Bonney in spite of the circumstances. Quasar is an object powered by a Supermassive Black Hole, it's super bright but it does explain why he uses 'Stella' as the name for his body too. Him using Warp but getting stuck may also be a hint on how to beat Van Auger, if he gets stuck between objects he may be unable to escape. I think it's also possible that an invention may turn out to be voice-activated, given ho Luffy tried it with the fallen mech.

Based on snow white and 7 dwarves, VP can split up to 7 different personas that are all VP all can do whatever but are all connected. That would also explain his open head that is the poison apple

Why was O'Hara destroyed? Was it because they were researching Void Century? No. Was it because they were accumulated books? No. Was it because they knew about ancient civilization? No. The actual crime they committed was knowing and speaking the /name/ of the ancient civilization. There is something special about the /name/ of it. And what makes it doubly interesting is that pirate King heard "voice of all things/words", not considering the spellings at all (because he didn't know how to read poly-glyphs).

I think the devil fruit tree is on Elbaf and the Giants generally protect it from pirates/WG. Maybe they occasionally trade devil fruits for resources or immunity etc. If this is true I can totally see Usopp getting a fruit. Zoro and Sanji are too strong already, Nami has busted lightning powers. Franky should get a powerup ok Egghead. Usopp is rarely the one needing saving from water or jumping into the water because he's so scared all the time. Also eating a DF on Elbaf would be a great way to show his "bravery" to the Giants 🤣

It’s been obviously implied for years the war between the Ancient Kingdom and the WG (rather the precursors to the WG) Here’s my quick speculation: The WG was JEALOUS of the AK because there were at least two things they didn’t have: PONEGLYPHS and the POWER TO COMMAND ANCIENT GIANT CREATURE, aka the ancient weapons, actually “weapons” because they are all living beings, in other words they’re avatars. The WG built their OWN COUNTER (already confirmed in Water 7 and people need to go read it again), meaning the battleship is NOT from the AK side. The WG used the battleship to kill the avatars, that’s how they won the war and erased history. That’s why the power to command is not present in every generation, it’s exactly why Shirahoshi‘S parents don’t have the power, it’s exactly why Momo’s parents don’t have the power either.

It's hella tricky because it's been a while and translations and adaptations play a role. I'd love it if a Japanese speaker like Arthur could do a full breakdown of the language used in that part of the Ohara flashback. But yeah, going from memory to me it also sounded like Clover was right on the money. But what JB pointed out is also interesting. If history is repeating itself, then the pieces on the board now don't line up. Was the world really some sort of utopia before the Ancient Kingdom was taken down by evil people? Or maybe the Ancient Kingdom was evil, and the World Government was the result of a revolution gone wrong. I mean hell. Luffy is Joyboy. Does his monkey ass really look anything sci-fi? It makes more sense for the monkey boy with the cartoon fruit to work against the sci-fi nation, not with them. Maybe the original JoyBoy lead the 20 kingdoms before being betrayed.

@Joy_Boy what do you think of the idea that Dragon is Robins father and that's actually why he was there to deliver flowers in the first place? i've seen the idea floating around, since dragon seems to be someone that dislikes fights and yet he's establishing a rebel army, that something personal has happened and that the death of olvia might be the thing that changed him a bit. this would also mean that robin is luffys sister and somehow explain those older-sister vibes robin has when she's explaining stuff to luffy. (plus she does similar stuff with the names of other people)

I'm starting to think Elbaf is special… I mean, over time we keep getting reminded of it that given reasons to go there. It would be interesting that Elbaf was Laugh Tale all this time, and perhaps the big tree there gives fruit every X years (explaining why Roger was too early).

Just a random thought: How do we in our world decipher languages we don’t know? I think in the One Piece world, you would be able to pair a scholar with someone who can hear the voice of all things to probably decipher the language from scratch. (How did Ohara crack the language originally, even?)

I was thinking the same thing. There was either magic involved, or they found relics with text written in the ancient language and some known language. Remember: the Poneglypms weren't written in code, it's just the regular language of the ancient kingdom. It would be in whatever artifacts survived from them.

This chapter also explains why CP0 was sent to kill them, they have the knowledge of Ohara and the WG can't allow someone as clever as Vegapunk with such knowledge. Also I agree with the memory fruit, it makes a lot of sense, also I feel like the old vegapunk has gone a bit crazy by the personality split. I need to reread Frankie's chapters on vegapunk's Island, but based on what I remember I feel like Vegapunk has always been a genius, he was trying to build something like egghead as a child, but he lacked some knowledge as Frankie said, he completed his projects thanks to the ancient kingdom tech, but still he is a generational genius, who knows how many people found relics and never made anything of off them

I think Akainu is very misunderstood he is not evil he is a puppet for the world government and once he learns who are the true bad people of the world he will turn on them and I think he might know something already but needs proof which is why I think he might be the leader of sword or knows about it. We already see the seeds with him getting upset about the gorosei doing what they did for doflamingo. I’m telling ya Akainu will be fighting on the side of the strawhats by the end of this series or atleast as a 3rd force within that war against the world government but he will not be supporting the world government

Someone please tell me if there are some information that contradict this, but has anyone thought that Dragon has more facial features similar to Rocks? Could dragon be another kid Garp adopted? And if we take this theory further then I can't help but to feel that Luffy looks more like Roger and Ace looks more like Dragon. Have we been lied too? If this switch comes true then I honestly don't know how I would feel about it.

I think Ivankov's DF is the closest we have to a "lineage factor" manipulating DF. It can turn you from a man to a woman or vice versa, make you age, make you stronger, heal you by exciting your metabolic functions. It's about as close as we have at the moment, and I don't know how you could get closer functionality wise

if Nico Olvia and Tom ARE still alive, then a good plot hook could be Saul himself. maybe he saw Olvia being taken away and, once the Straw Hats get to Elbaf, he simply tells Robin that her mother is alive in Marejois. this could be a pretty good reason for the whole crew to set their sights on the Gorosei because, let's be real, at this point they don't even know about Vivi and Sabo

When learning that the Ohara incident was at least one part of the main reasons why Dragon forged the Revolutionary Army, I now want to know if the next chapter(s) will be where we learn the full origin story of Luffy's father?! If Luffy's group do learn about the origin story of the Revolutionary Army, will Bonney fully understand why Vegapunk did what he did to her father, even though I am not sure it will be enough for Bonney to pardon the scientist?! Assuming we do get Dragon's backstory, does this mean we'll finally learn who Luffy's Mom is?! If so, who do think she will truly be or what she may look like?! This got all my gears turning. What if the main way the weapon that wiped out Lulusia Kingdom is by erasing it from memory. Destroying it, or perhaps putting it in a pocket dimension like the soul stone in Avengers. Like Sugar's fruit making people forget about peoples' existence and then they dump them into that underground landfill. It's not as if those people truly never existed. The evidence of their existence remains in the the world - the things they made and destroyed, the way they changed the course of history. 'That kingdom never existed' is gaslighting. Maybe they also reshape peoples' memories such that they actually don't remember it existing. And Clover saying the name of the ancient kingdom would be a catalyst for others remembering it, leading to the unraveling of the gaslighting mechanism. Hell, maybe people remembering its existence, uttering its name en masse, will make it REMATERIALIZE in the world. So Roger saying he was too early would be literal, as with the burning of Ohara and killing of Clover before he could utter the name, the people of the world wouldn't have known to say the name. It would explain why the Gorosei were triggered to immediately call for Clover's execution only when he was going to say the name of the kingdom. Think of it like American Gods by Neil Gaiman, or Noragami. The more people believe in a god, the more it comes to exist and gains power. If people remember their names (the people and kingdoms wiped out), they'll reappear. But the only way they can is through gathering evidence, context clues, conjecture, the poneglyphs, etc. Another Dressrosa tie-in is the '16 holy bullets' thing, with both the island eraser and Doflamingo's final attack having 16 strands. I think Dressrosa is a microcosm of the way the World Government has erased countries and people. And as for the name, I personally think it was called 'Romance Dawn'. Simple, to the point, and lines up with Luffy bringing about the 'dawn of the world'. If they rematerialize or remember the ancient kingdom, it would ~literally~ be bringing about the dawn.

Aokiji thinks Saul is dead. He confirms this when he meets robin again later. "Since saul gave his life to protect you. it's my duty to follow you and make sure you don't waste your life." And he didn't defeat saul with Ice Time Capsule. That was just to freeze his legs and stop him. If you look one page later the coup de grace on saul is Ice Time. The reason he used the former first is because it's a ranged attack, while ice time requires him to physically touch the target. To pretend this was foreshadowed 15 years ago is a hard cope.

Tom and Olvia are alive and may very well be the ones who made the weapon that Imu used against the Lalusia kingdom, they where obviously forced to make it, this would also explain why Franky and Robin are together in so many situations throughout the series because there parents are being held together

some interesting observations: - since there are only 3 islands between wano and the final island, law and BB are near one and luffy & the gang are on one, kid must be waiting on elbaf. - shanks should be on elbaf (where else? or is i waiting at laughtale? he has to encounter luffy somewhere..) - kid has to have a reason for wanting to dethrone shanks (hinted pre-wano) so... i think a shanks-, kid-, giant-ark should be the next/current ark

I see a lot of people saying the W.G. dropped the ball when it came to noticing the books in the lake and not doing anything about it. I think the W.G. didn't know the books were there, Vegapunk assumed that was the case but he wasn't there but Aokiji was. I believe Aokiji was the only marine who noticed the books and made sure no body else saw them. I believe Aokiji also wants to know about the void century.

Hey JB! Oda might be playing with roman mythology in regards to Vegapunk. Specifically Jupiter. Minerva, the goddess of wisdom in Roman mythology, burst forth from the head of Jupiter. The other Vegapunks are creative and intelligent surely and i think a parallel could be made between them and Minerva. Jupiter is also known as the roman male "genius". "Genii" are the creator / patron / protector entity of things which we get the modern word of genius from. Vegapunk is a genius in the conventional sense, but in the roman mythological sense, Vegapunk could be a genius both in relation to the other Vegapunks and/or technology in general. In any case, i definitely subscribe to the idea the other Vegapunks sprung forth from Vegapunk's head. Would explain their weird connections if they are all part of him. As a fun little theory to go along with this, perhaps Vegapunk is another ancient weapon, the Jupiter or genius.

16:10 Saul was Nico Robin's only friend she was also close with clover however the majority of the people on O'Hara still treated Robin as a reject because of her devil fruit including her own aunt and uncle Saul was the first person to treat her with kindness that was not a scholar or her mother my big problem with fake out death scenes like this is on rewatch or reread it lessens the emotional impact for Pell Pound and Saul's sacrifices because in the end we know they're fine this is not a bad thing like I said just makes me watching less impactful And also reduces the consequences going forward there will be less dramatic tension going forward with all potential deaths because in the back of mind you're always going to be thinking what's the point we're just going to find out he's going to be alive in a few chapters anyways whether it's 10 15 or 500 honestly how would you feel if they decided to bring Acer Whitebeard back even if it was well set up it's still undermines everything that had been established
