I prayed and prayed that I could be given the strength to quit my cigarette habit, (I couldn't even manage to cut down)! Several months went by then one afternoon having smoked all day, I suddenly lost all desire to light up another!! That was 6 months ago now and I haven't touched a cigarette since or had any desire to do so. I thank God every day that he freed me from the addiction of nicotine 🙏

This sermon resonates so much with me. I struggle a lot with gratitude. instead of celebrating the little milestones in my life and the goals i have achieved , I find myself looking for the next thing to achieve or get. I have zero patience but I talk to God about it. I ask him to give me the patience and for me to trust Him fully and let Him be in control. Don't even get me started with being the older sibling and feeling like my siblings get away with so much while i have to work harder for everything. One thing though, I am grateful that I can see what's wrong with it and I am willing to let go and Let God.

I love you Joyce Meyer! I was baptized and taught to believe, in God as a child, but my father wasn’t saved till I married. So I didn’t get raised in the word. Nor was I taught discernment. I worked with a person years ago and thought they were my friend. Ran into them years later? Turned out they were evil & had bad intent for me. I knew then, I had to figure out how to know God , to build trust and faith. I prayed in fear! I was pushed closer to God as he was all that could save me. I was led to you! You said, “The way to know God is simple. Read it, just read it!” Wow! Your sermon that day changed my life! God taught me discernment and not to talk as much. I was putting my trust in man and putting God last. I didn’t realize at first. So, I started putting God first. This has only been 4 months ago. My fear is gone, I’m trying to shed bad habits and I’ve left the evil person. Just doing everyday life excites me. Got some of your books and listen regularly. I do wish I knew how to pray right though. I pray the best u can. Again, wasn’t taught. I am not sure if I should say, J pray in the Holy Spirit or “Hello again Jesus , I pray to you, etc. I’m not sure how to know when to pray about which things. God bless!😊
