Joyee Bridge | The Longest River Bridge of West Bengal | Weekend Destination | Teesta | Sunset

Joyee Bridge which connects Haldibari and Mekhliganj in the Coochbehar district, is perhaps the longest river bridge of West Bengal. The Joyee Bridge is about 2.709 km long built over the mighty Teesta river. Before the construction of the bridge, the people of these two towns had to travel more than 72 kilometers via Jalpaiguri and Mynaguri. Now, the distance between Haldibari and Mekhligunj is about 20 kilometers. The travel time has been reduced from two hours to barely 15 minutes.
