Awwwhh listening to this tears me up, back in the 90's I had 2 budgies, it took a lot of effort training them. They would sometimes eat out of my hand, whenever I came home from work they would fly and perch on my shoulders and pick my earrings especially the big hoop ones. One of them in particular was acrobatically inclined he would fly to the top edge of my dresser mirror and hand down and look at himself he was so hilarious, the other one tried but no success. Another funny thing was whenever I was on the telephone they would chatter real loud. They both lived a long life and I miss and loved them so much. Folks ask me if I will get more birds, I tell them no, I didn't take their passing too well, they will always be in my heart. So folks enjoy your Budgies! God Bless!

I bought one budgie at first, i was planning to teach him to say few words. He seemed so lonely at times, that I could not resist but to get another budgie(both male, as they say male+female or two males are getting along better than two females). Now they have someone to play with, from their own kind and I think that is priceless. Many years ago, I had one budgie for years, he was tamed, but living with only humans - giants like us, and not having a chance to be with his own kind, is well, cruel, at least for me, when I think about it now. I am happy that I got two now, they are tamed enough to stay on my finger and eat, or stay on my shoulder, but they like each other more than us humans, which is natural.

I just got three budgies about three days ago and I played this while attempting to feed them with my hand. Usually they get scared but this time all three got on my hand and ate. This video really helped a lot!

Only problem is that's there's no real communication going on. The budgies on the recording talk to each other, and your budgie TRIES to talk to them, but nobody really answers him back. He might be getting frustrated rather than excited. ...just a thought.

I have one male budgey. When I let him out of his cage he usually just sits there. That is until I start playing this video. Then he comes to life, starts singing, and flying loops around the room. So glad we have this to play for him. Thanks for posting

Got a new, young budgie yesterday. He was so stressed out, as any new bird is, sitting stiff and head low. This was playing all day yesterday and by evening he sat more straight, even chirped once or twice. Today, as soon as I turn this on, he starts chirping his head off!! I've never had a new bird start chirping from his second day home. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video! Any other budgie sound video didn't work as well as this! :) a new budgie has arrived after the passing of my seven year old one. Rest in peace Sunny. And welcome home little buddy!

I just got a baby budgie and he's quite scared his first 24 hours. At 14:24 he just starts chirping like crazy. If I back it up and play it at 13:00, he waits...and then he starts up again at 14:24. THANK YOU for making this sound track for new babies in their new homes.

I have had and loved budgies for years! Abby, Brian, Cornelius, Dilly, Emanuel, Fallon, Gracie, Mary (don't ask) and now Holly... I'm not planning to buy any others for now since I've been coming under a lot of flack for caging my birds...even my vet brother has issues with me caging birds (sigh)

Just for the record, I think this audio is better suited for the enjoyment of people rather than their birds. Consider this from your birds point of view... Somewhere in the house there's an entire flock of YOUR OWN SPECIES that you can neither see nor get to. You try shouting out to them, but everyone ignores you and just goes on talking among themselves. Imagine if it were you in an alien land (or even just in another country). Wouldn't it almost seem torturous after a while? Just a thought from a crazy old bird lady. (Yeah, I've got 10 of various species.) :)

This brings back fond memories. In the 50's and 60's we had aviaries at 2 different homes in Southern California. We had an average of 80 budgerigars year round and the cage was right outside my bedroom window. They began making noise at first light in the morning and did not stop until the sun set.

absolute same story here. just got my budgie. he was not shy at all. and took to sitting on my hand the first day. i picked him out because in the whole flock only two were awake and alert . of the two he was immediate in making lasting eye contact and watching me. he was generally interested in me and was an easy choice. i played about 10 different budgie and bird sound videos here and he had no response. this was the only video that made him react. and same here. he chirps to it. starts rustling his feathers, and stretching wings . then takes flight. and it makes him eat. and his name is BATMAN

Wonderful recording to play to my 10 year old budgie, Joey. He loves to talk along with the budgies & every so often one must have said the wrong thing because he scolds them! Its great stimulation for him though as he lives on his own in his cage. We open his door at breakfast & close it when we put him to bed at bedtime, so he can come out & be with his human & doggy family in the day. Budgies are just brilliant little characters. Nick

Parakeet actually means a small to medium parrot with a long tail. Alexandrines, Ringnecks, Conures and Quakers are among those in the parakeet family...

I bought 2 baby albino parakeets. Am so sad. I checked on them this morning they were fine and I loved on them., but they were ok. I went back to play with them again this afternoon and one had passed away. I know you take a chance when you buy them. But it doesn't keep you from falling in love with these besutiful creatures. So now have bella a white albino budgee.

We found a sad tired lonely budgie in the park. He didn't move at all he was so tired. We gave him some food and water, made a makeshift cage from a laundry basket. And as soon as we played this music he came to life and all of a sudden looked happy and crawled all over the makeshift cage. Thank you.

Hi iam a frist time budgie owner I resently got a new one I now own 4 the first I caught out side the 2 & 3 got at pet smart and 2 days after got the last 4th one now from what I know you can tell if there male or female from the tipe of there beek I can tell the frist is male and the 2nd and 3rd are as well but the 4th is realy hard it's not as blue as a male should have and I don't see dark pink or as much purple what other way could I find out?
