I got this and LOVE IT! Right after I bought this one on AMazon, I found another one, barely used, at a thrift store. Clearly, whoever donated it never gave it a chance so now I have 2. I breed dogs and have about 8 dogs in my house right now, including puppies. These mops are a life saver to me. Also, when you order more refill pads, you will get pads with the 3 tab holders on both ends of the pad. The first ones I got were only tabbed on one end and they stretched out pretty quickly because I didn't mount it properly bu I know better now. I just therw the pads and entire bucket into the wash machine because it needed a good soaking after all the cleaning I have been doing. My floors have never been so clean every day! I have gone through many mops in my 64 years but this is the first one I can say I LOVE!

My concern is about transferring dirty water back into the clean water section after wringing. Ideally, mopping should involve wetting the mop with clean, soapy water, cleaning the floor, and then wringing the dirty mop into a separate, dirty water section to prevent contamination of the clean water. The process should minimize the mixing of clean and dirty water, maintaining the efficacy of the cleaning solution and reducing the spread of dirt. From what I see here, wringing the dirty, used mop puts about 75% or more of the dirty water back into the clean water section. Is this true?

A percentage would be difficult to give, however, I haven't seen a mop or bucket set that can 100% guarantee 0% mixing between the clean and dirty water. In reference to the Joymoop, I can say that the 'dry side' will catch the dirt, hair, larger particles, and part of the dirty water, etc. Then the 'wet side will catch the rest of the dirty water as you mentioned. However, when using the JoyMoop, rarely do we need to soak it in the wet side multiple times as the microfiber gets very saturated, allowing for a large square footage to be cleaned. Then we clean/dry it in the bucket, and can continue mopping - soaking up the remaining water from the initial use. If needed you can of course soak it multiple times as we demonstrate in the video, but also as shown in the video, we mop up red kool-aid, then soak the mop again, and it doesn't spread the red kool aid or stickiness around on the floor. This is due to how diluted the dirty water is within the clean side. Overall, in our experience it does a better job separating the dirty and clean water, than a traditional mop bucket or a swiffer, which were our previous hard floor cleaners. Hope that helps and fully answers your question.

Change the water often. After each wash, the dried mop comes out visibly cleaned.

Thanks for the quick review, did you ever look at the spin mops from o-cedar? I was wondering if you did know about them, what made you pick this one?
@indefinitetravel Жыл бұрын
You're welcome and yes, we've seen and used those as well. We actually had an Airbnb cleaner say that she was looking for a Swiffer like model and stumbled across the Joymoop mop and that it was now her favorite. My biggest takeaway from using the JoyMoop mop compared to the Spin mop, is that the JM mop is easier to clean off and scrape away hair or dirt that gets caught on the microfiber cloth. However, that's simply my personal preference and I think either one will get the job done.

I purchased the spin mop from o-cedar. They are certainly convenient and the spin is also nice. However, I did not find that my floors were truly clean. I live with 2 labs and they are in/out all day. The mop was used constantly. I am thinking about trying the joymoop.

I have the spin mop. It’s better than a normal mop, but I don’t like the shape of the moo head-I feel like it doesn’t really get in corners well. Also sometimes the mop pad doesn’t move in the way you expect so sometimes it feels like you’re fighting against it.

How much force can you place down on the mop? We all do it push down on the mop to get that mess extra scrub.
@indefinitetravel Жыл бұрын
It has a reinforced aluminum handle, so it can handle a good amount of pressure when you're using it to get those extra stubborn messes cleaned up.

Did you ever have a problem of the detachable mop clothe bunching and not being able to put it thru the slot after washing? Am I doing something wrong?
@indefinitetravel Жыл бұрын
We haven't had that issue, but reading through some of the reviews I saw that some other people said that it happened and they realized that the end that faces down wasn't full connected to the white plastic piece. Also I saw some people say it might be time for a new cloth as it wears down after awhile, which is why it comes with multiple clothes. We only wash our cloth once every 1-2 weeks. So be sure to check the connection points and also switch out the clothes after they start wearing down. Hope that helps!

I’m having trouble when I put the pad on and pushing through the whole of the bucket. It completely pushes the pad off of the mop .

Yeah, this is a good product. I bought one a year ago, but it broke some time ago. Then I bought a HiBaby mop and bucket set, and I feel it is better than this one. Now I clean with a new mop every day.
