ADHD is a lot more difficult to deal with then people think. It's a lot more complex than just being hyper.

True because as an adult and your mature it's not really about being hyper...its like your mind overthink so it hard to focus on one thing sometimes..

One of the worst things about ADHD is that no one understands that there's more to it than just focus issues, there's emotional issues, the inability to take criticism without feeling as if your hated, sensory and sensitivity issues, there's alot more to it, but you can't even express how your feeling cuz you can't get out what you want to say, and even then no one's gonna listen anyways cuz they just think your some spazoid who can't keep still for more than a second

Everything is true, then you get someone “can you like Not tap your foot or tap your finger, I’M SORRY DOES IT BOTHER YOU” while your anxiety spikes your tapping gets more rapid and your mind starts thinking stuff you don’t want to think of and your breathing quickens to the point of just a panic attack but not visible to everyone. Don’t get me started on emotional stuff as well social settings like it’s painful for everyone going through this

I have been dealing with ADHD my whole life, being turned away by teachers and constantly yelled at for not paying attention. And I started taking pills in 6th grade, it changed me as a person, i lost a lot of emotion and i wasn't the same kid. Around May of this year i dedicated myself to get me off the pills, I am now free of those pills and grown. I feel more in control of my actions, I still catch myself in mood swings or super hyper and when this album was first announced and i saw Joyner's caption in the picture, I took it to heart. No one really understands till they're in the same boat.

Bro... i have ADHD and i've felt so alone all these years. nobody understands how hard it is. easily getting distracted and only being able to sleep when you're dead tired because laying in silence just sounds so loud. images and sounds replaying from the whole day. ADHD is real but the medication isn't and it really saddens me that it isn't taken seriously. always told that ADHD is just an excuse. no matter what i do i just always seem different

The lyrics hit home, I think it took a lot of guts to share such personal feelings. I admire that he put his thoughts to paper in such a way that many are touched and are now sharing their feelings with strangers. I am a 41 year old, diagnosed in 2005. So I am probably a bit older then his usual fanbase 😉. I always felt different, acted different, was socially awkward and was judged on that by classmates. It was a bit of a relief to know, but I still carry the scars for not fitting in. It's a struggle to appreciate myself and some days I do better than others. Sometimes my brains feels like a pressure cooker and I have to put all my (mental) weight on the lid to keep it down/together. I take medication it helps me to concentrate, make better decisionsan and most of the time to think before I act. It makes life a bit easier. PS: I'm Dutch, so my English could be a bit off.

Leland, (in a sincere manner) many doctors over and miss diagnose children and write them off as having ADHD(children). When in reality, that child just learns differently, need more mental stimulation, losing interests in thing quicker if it doesn't benefit and entertain the child. You most certainly aren't your diagnosis. Don't let ADHD make you think that your sick. Certainly there are the likes of scholars in the field of mental illness, psychiatry, psychology, behavioural health. Take this advice or food for thought from someone studying psychiatry and psychopharmacology. From someone who is a paranoid schizophrenic, we're the group of people that are misdiagnosed and who have a mental illness that has no cure, still quite a mystery in and of itself. From someone who's illness is extremly crippling for those suffering from it. One that mental health experts still have no way to actually know someone has it. (Sigh) Just some food for thought, don't let your mental illness define you.

This song is so relatable to my issues and diagnosis of adhd, I can't focus on simple short term tasks, I feel a greater purpose calling but constantly distracted by temporary necessities. Everyone pressuring and assuring you have to fall in routine causes me to struggle with motivation even more, and I release my emotions to an extreme degree, unable to relay how and why I feel so intense and so naturally my expression leads me to art in some form or another, but with such a flood of ideas that I can't hardly decide on just one idea so I try to embrace all of them. This song is for sure one of my favs!

Words from the man himself... I built my core fans from story telling and lyrical spiritual miracles. Lol But that’s my comfort zone because I know my core audience lives there. I gained massive success quickly & became the face of that department. But..... The truth is I’m bored. Every record can’t be lyrical spiritual miracles & story telling and freestyles. I can’t keep giving you the same Joyner on every record just because that’s what your used to. I won’t allow myself to be put in a box and I can’t keep preaching to the same choir. ADHD is a mixture and elevation of who I am now and who I am becoming. I will never loose sight of my core but I’m growing and changing. It’s time to break new grounds & reach new heights. There are many sides to Joyner lucas you haven’t seen yet. At this point you will start to see me break out of my shell completely. Some will love it. Some will say I sold out and I changed and sold my soul to the Illuminati and blah blah. Lol Thank you for sticking by me through my journey and I hope you enjoy the rest of the records from #ADHD. next release dropping in 2 weeks. ❤️ love

I listened to this song for the first time a couple years ago. I couldn't believe how closely it resonated with me and how accurately the lyrics described my entire life and how I've ever felt. I'm 26 and since diagnosed with ADHD, stemming from childhood; something that was misdiagnosed as a child. Teachers and doctors thought I was fine and would "grow out of it". Been living feeling like I was born different and was always wrong for two decades before anyone properly examined my mental health. Now finally starting the track for good mental health and its a long, scary road that I don't think will ever be feasible, but thank you Joyner for helping me realize I'm not alone.

I have ADHD . This song is so true. I have been taking meds since I was 5 years old. I’m 18 now, and I don’t take them anymore. Just because I’m not the same as everyone else doesn’t mean I need to take meds. I am who I am. ADHD is a part of me.... I wouldn’t be me without it

Joyner always gonna be my favorite artist, his songs got me through a lot and I mean a lot. Got me through my dads death and my dogs death, got me through my depression when even a therapist couldn’t do it he did it with just his lyrics, got me through school days when I was stressed and shit, this dude honestly like a second father to me, cause I go to his music for everything. Edit: Didn’t expect to get any likes on this post but that just goes to show how strong the Joyner family actually is 🙏🏻 always support eachother no matter what ☁️

He posted lyrics of joyner for the Suge remix with Tory Lanez... Joyner takes forever with projects I waited over year maybe 2 for the 508 project. By the time it came out heard most of the songs n was burned out from them. And only had few songs in didn't hear, and only liked a couple... he doing the same now with ADHD. Been waiting FOREVER. And by time it comes out most if not ALL the tracks will be released prior. He did say he was releasing every song first so... and if he does drop album watch it'll only be few songs that have not been heard... I heard snippets of a few and did not like a couple of them. It's going to be same this time around. Only few new songs and I will only like a couple... sad because Joyner one of my fav! Been dying and dying for that Eminem feature song!!
