Hey Jason, hope you are well. To be honest, you could play through a 6" practice amp and make it sound great. Thanks for the video.

I bought the same cab last January of this yr. I find it too bright in comparison to my H&K 4x12 loaded with greenbacks(top) and v30(bottom). I had an Orange ppc212 with v30s too, which I sold because i find that cab too dark sounding, and now the Joyo which is too bright for me lol. Im using a jcm800 and soldano on these cabs

Those 2x12 Joyo sounded terror-ble through the Orange...I need 2nd hand cabinet for a Joyo Bantam Jackman II. Any recommendations on a 1x12 cab?

I really depends on what's available in your area, postage isn't really an option for a cab.

Yo Jason if you got a couple mins tell me how you feel about the greenback sound vs the v30 sound? I have some badcat v30 speaker in my ac15 and it sounds great and has been reliable and consistent, even after heaps of low octave pedals and fuzz drives and what have you- I've punished it. I used to have the stock greenback in there and I truly miss some of the clarity or brighter top end that seemed to have, there is a noticeable honky mid range or nearly a muffled sound to the v30.. it may be very musical in a mix but I just sometimes wonder if I should go back to the GB. Supposedly the v30 is tighter for bass which is the main reason I went that route. But it's overall a pretty dark sounding amp a lot of the time until cranked outdoors or EQd for some notches. Sorry for the long read, I would love to hear your experience on either or generally the drawbacks you find with v30 compared to other types if not GBacks.

AC15s and AC30s usually either come with Greenbacks or Alnico Blues. The Alnico Blue is a very bright and detailed sounding speaker, while the greenback has more midrange. If you are using drive, that brightness and detail from an alnico blue or any bright speaker can (not always) become shrill. Having a speaker with less top end can be pleasing when using an already bright amp. Brian May for example uses the greenbacks because he mostly uses a driven tone. I think of speakers as filters, they are going to give your tone different characteristics. Hopefully this answers your question.

Got a Harley Benton 2 x 12 with these speakers where the cabinet cost less than buying a pair of vintage 30s

I looked into those, shipping was going to cost too much (I couldn't find one in Australia)

Upper mid definition? You just said it's a fairly scooped speaker? I'm not being a dick, I just want to understand what you meant
@JasonAyalaSpare9 ай бұрын
Mid range freq are from 300hz to 5k. Upper mids are around 4k-5k. So this speaker doesn't have much.of the honky 700hz- 1k response. I probably should have put a graphic of the frequency response in the video.
