ASMR used to be my bread and butter for going to sleep until it began to cause problems... It's not physically proven but I've pieced it together by experimenting, seeing when I have the problem and when I don't, and it's only on the nights when I listened to ASMR. Now I can only listen to it if I don't have to do something important the next day, because ASMR started affecting my nervous system from how much I listened to it I think. Any time I listen to it, it's the same old relaxing feeling but my body will relax too much, causing numerous different uncomfortable sensations if I lay down... So now I can only listen to it when I'm not about to go to sleep and that defeats the purpose of ASMR. Just my luck.
