I think it's a fear of growing up

It's not really a FEAR of growing up, but rather commentary on aging and expectations for our futures. It's internally still feeling like you're your younger self, but you're now a legit adult and nothing's what you thought it would be... you pretty much feel the same, but see someone else looking back at you who you don't recognize. We might visualize ourselves living a certain life 10, 20, 50 years from now, but when you get to that point it could be nothing like you planned.

It’s a great song, but i absolutely despise when bands add a random melody to the end of their songs that’s completely different from the song itself. This song could’ve ended a minute earlier and it would’ve been a great song that could fit on any playlist easily.
