The game you are looking for is Johansen-Holm(2013). After 13. Bd4 Bf5; 14. Bxg7 Bxc2; 15. Bxc2 Ne3; 16. Qxd8 Nexc2+; 17. Kf2 Rfxd8, Stian played Nb6 and the game quickly petered out to a simple draw. Given that the black player was nearly 200 rating points higher, I am not sure that could be considered a good result. I am not sure calling this a theoretical novelty is quite right either; there are games from the 1960s featuring this idea so it is hardly something new, which is specifically what an opening novelty in chess refers to.
