Isa sa mga pinakacomplex na theory of personality ang Psychoanalysis na ginawa ni Freud. Pero di ako napigilan non para subukang isimplify ung theory niya. Marami akong mga naskip na concepts and things about sa buhay ni Freud for the sake of time and simplicity pero I hope nagawan ko ng justice ung essence ng Psychoanalysis. Haha. Anyway, I hope may matutunan kayo at ma-aliw at the same time!
Napansin ko lang na ung mga naskip ko na concepts ni Freud ay ung mga controversial points niya like thexual drive and aggression. HAHAHA. Ang dalawang ito ay isa sa mga main motivator ng mga tao ayon kay Freud together with the reduction of Anxiety.

Id - 1st to develop - Basic instinct (seeking pleasure, avoiding pain and SUFFERING) - Pleasure Principle - In our unconscious, the part of our mind that we are not aware of Ego - Reality Principle - Mostly in the conscious (we are aware of it) partly unconscious Superego - Moral Principle - Conscience (what is right from wrong) - Ego ideal (what and how we want to be) - Both in the conscious and unconscious Psychoanalysis Types of Anxiety Anxiety - an unpleasant state accompanied by physical sensation that warns the person about an impending danger Types of Anxiety 1.) Id- Neurotic Anxiety Ex. Fear of punishment 2.) Superego- Moral Anxiety Ex. Hindi nagbigay sa nanlilimos tapos nafe-feal mong nabobother tayo 3.) Ego -Realistic Anxiety Ex. Nasa unfamiliar na lugar Only the ego can feel the anxiety Defense Mechanisms - Strategies used by the ego to protect itself from itself from unpleasant/threatening experiences or emotions (all kinds of Anxiety) Ayon kay Freud ay gumagamit lahat ang tao ng Defense Mechanisms lalo na kapag nathe-threatened itong si Ego sa mga nangyayari sa paligid natin Repression - Forcing down emotions, impulses or memories down the unconscious to reduce anxiety by effectively "forgetting" them Denial - dine-deny ang mga unpleasant experience Reaction Formation - binabaliktad ang unpleasant feeling or unpleasant experience Ang healty form ng Defense Mechanism ay ang Sublimation Sublimation - Converting the unpleasant emotion/experience into a more socially acceptable form Psychotherapy in Psychoanalysis First part of therapy is Free Association Second, Transference Useful or Nah? 1.) i think yes , ang daming puntos ni Freud. I had anxiety and elevated depression last year - yung friend ko na nag aaral ng EMDR, sinubukan nya sakin, win win situation- i help her, she helps me - nagulat din ako na habang ginagawa namin un ang dami kong memories na naalala ko bigla habang humahagulgol. and that made me realize na baka kaya ako people pleaser, may RSD, validation seeker is either because i have ADHD or because of my childhood. WHen Freud said na ang resolution is to understand saan nanggaling ung galit or what by making the unconscious conscious, i think i kinda understood that. When Freud said na forever na ito, i agree - but more manageable - mas aware na ako, mas conscious na ako, mas marami ng moments na mas "in control" ako sa anger ko, at may times pa ding HINDE. let me know if i understood it right, thanks for this Sir JP =)

It is still very much useful because if it is not, no more research will generate from his theory. Other psychologists or researchers can improve what is lacking in his theory but we can never ignore the contribution of Sigmund Freud when it comes to psychological matters.
