Having this puzzle myself, I find the reverse corner cutting solved with higher strength magnets. While it does slow the cube down a little, the magnets become very strong and rarely it gets misaligned. If the slowness becomes too much, lube is always an option. My personal settings is 4 inside the circle, 3 outside, and 4 magnet strength. With these setting my puzzle performs better than anything else I own.

Here are my thoughts on this cube: The regular corner cutting is quite bad on the first day, but with a bit of break in it improves. Unfortunately you can’t change the reverse corner cutting, but I was able to get around it (particularly because I am able to change my turning style based on the cube). I did try every single setting on it (including the magnets) and I discovered that I was able to do well on most of them, and the worst ones weren’t as bad as my average. I’d say only get this cube if you like very stable cubes, and you can tolerate worse corner cutting. Like J Perm said, if you do use a lot of corner cutting, you won’t enjoy this cube.

To fix the caps popping out, make sure they are put in correctly. If you look inside the corners of the caps, you'll see one set of diagonals has tabs and the other does not. And if you look at the center pieces you'll see one side has little holes for the tabs and the other doesn't. Make sure the tabs line up with the holes.

I've already got mine from JPerm's last vid on it. The corner cutting is forcing me to be more precise. JPerm explains it well. I'll be interested in hearing your experience. To get the best of the corner cutting, I've gone all loose, with settings of 1 and 1. But, it's still stable with almost no floppiness. The magnets are really strong. I have never before reduced the magnet strength on a cube, yet I've set this to the weakest, I can still feel it. Aside from the corner cutting, I really love it's feel. I haven't even messed with the lubrication yet. So, that's it. This is the cube I'm using to improve my precision, and it feels pretty good.

Update: as I get used to this thing (and maybe having improved my precision), I've put the magnets back to the center (with spring settings still at 1 & 1). I had also thought that the core already had lube, so I hadn't bothered with that. Well, I wanted to smooth it out some more, but I usually only use very light lube. Well, I had some GAN lube that I wasn't using and did the core with that. That was nice. But, only the core had lube. So, I did the outer surfaces with Speed Cube Shop Start Dust. OMG, the corner cutting is definitely improved (though not perfect), and it feels amazing. I definitely want to hear how others are tuning this one.

I’ve been maining this cube for over a month now. Using the 4th spring compression setting, 2nd tightness setting, and the 4th strongest magnet setting I’ve found works well for me. One thing I’ve noticed is that the magnets on this setting are rather clicks sounding. But this was the cube that finally got me to stop maining the YLM.

Hi JPerm, I suggest you look under the screw in your X Man Tornado V2 M. Since you have that reverse cutting issue, I haven’t noticed it yet when I tried it from a friends, but they looked under the screws and there was a thing caught. Lubing and seeing it again, the cube started working like magic. I hope this works even better. TLDR: There maybe something getting caught in the internals of your Tornado. Try disassembling the springs, the core, and the pieces and inspect them.

Got this cube on Saturday, had for about 5 days. This cube is perfect for me, since I consider myself a very accurate turner. My previous main was the GAN 11 M Pro, and while I could get very fast times, I didn’t feel perfectly comfortable with the cube. I switched to this cube because of its soft and effortless turning and its similarity to the Dayan Tengyun v2, Dayan Zhanchi Pro, and the GAN 356 X.

for me (as a person who relies quite a lot on corner cutting), I actually find it to be okay for me to main (averaging 13). I'm finding the reverse cuts to be a slight problem and (this might be a settings issue) I tend to overshoot a lot and I make more mistakes on this than something like a gan 11 m pro which I can control better. Okay, many people are saying that the tornado v2 has bad reverse corner cutting. It's not optimal, but it's not that bad. The tornado has stronger magnets, compared to the other cubes that I've tried. The stronger magnets make lining up the pieces way easier, so corner cutting doesn't even matter. As someone who relies on corner cutting to turn and solve cubes, it's not even a problem for me.

I got this cube a few days ago and really like the slightly smaller size, adjustability, and bold colors. As you said the corner cutting isn't awesome and it does lock up a tiny bit. It's fun to play with the magnet strength but generally it does feel a bit tight overall. I also found if the magnets are set above medium that the edges can grind against each other a bit which is annoying. I'll try your settings which are a little looser than what I was using.

@shamnasantosh6066
@shamnasantosh6066 3 жыл бұрын
@@prabhakarbolla807 I like to use 2 for the outer setting and three for the inner and also three for the magnets there isn’t really a best option you have to try the different settings and choose which suits you well.
