So I bought the same tires for my x-maxx. I Have the stock servo, I definitely need a stronger servo. It makes the front tires wobbly and the truck won't stay straight for me. So word of advice for anyone wanting these tires, you will need a stronger servo. I'm going to get the promodeler DS 1885 BLWR. I think that should stop the wobbling and self tracking.

My stock x Maxx tires didn't last 3 days. I was bashing through my neighbors farm fields. It was graded last early fall so it's a little rough but not to bad. After 10 8s passes. I noticed the foam was folding inside the rear tires. So one side of the tire had no foam the other side had double foam and it made my truck vibrate horrible. I'm going with Badlands or trenchers. X Maxx tires are to expensive to be ruining a set of rears every 3 8s charges.

I’ll save you from the headaches and bench time: Don’t use these tires. (Or the badlands, or any other non stock), your xmaxx will break apart in a month of use, you will constantly be chasing the weak point in the car which you will never find since you’ll be switching it every time you fix or upgrade a part, the xmaxx is NOT designed to handle the extra weight and grip of these, and tbh the xmaxx is pretty damn good stock…
@tracykey92272 жыл бұрын
Very true and correct statement; every one of these RCs are designed and engineered to run with all "stock" parts they come with; when you start uograding ANY part, you will increase stress on every other STOCK part so WILL excellerate wear and need replacements, but the manufacturers KNOW this and it's all part of their revenue "model"(hiw they keep the money rolling in). The trick is to plan and decide where you want to accept the "failure part" that can be replaced relatively inexpensively and easily. Like NOT the motor or esc, but keep plastic drive shaft or something like that. Hope this helps.

I put my dbxl-e on stand with them, and i think they became12+ inches tall when on full throttle. I will try taping them next year and see which I like. I don't like it much on Xmaxx than MX43, because I have to slow down before turning everytime, otherwise, it will roll because of the soft sidewall. And it rug the body when turning. But speed running on rough terrain is fun with it, so much more ground clearance!! And it lands like on pillows. And the best tires out of the three on crawling around rocky shores.👍

I love the looks of the trenchers over the badlands. GOOD JOB! They are definitely on my list after I go with ProModeler 630oz DS630BLHV servo upgrading the servo and servo horn. And toe links..Because the stock servo is really weak for my taste on stock tires. Also going to beef up shocks with piggybacks. Then I’ll shoot for the trenchers. I’ll think you will be fine on stock pinion unless you start beating on it hard😃 The max6 is so much better than the stock esc

Well the Badlands are 32% heavier than stock Xmaxx 8S tires. I didn’t realize the trenchers were sooooo BIGG!!! I own the Pro-line bad lands. Your Trenchers say 4.57”x8.50” My Pro-line badlands say 3.82”x8.30” I always thought the trenchers and badlands were the same size. Hmmm, I am considering buying those now!

@JasonPerrinRCVlogs5 жыл бұрын
I recently sold my E-revo 2.0. You are WAY better off buying a LST 3xle or Arrma Kraton over the Revo.
@SebastianLong5 жыл бұрын
The e-Revo is cool, but you have to upgrade a few parts out of the box on it. The rear toe links will break or pull apart on the first run. Now it's not a terrible thing, just gets freaking annoying. As Jason said, get the Losi LST 3XLe (which I also have) or maybe a Kraton as he also said. I personally am not a fan of Arrma but won't not buy one if the right one comes about. Another option (which is a new product) is the Traxxas Maxx which is a 1/10 scale X-Maxx. There is a lot of good options out there and I'm not saying don't get the e-Revo. I'm just saying check out the problems and keep lots of spare rod ends/links about. Shock rod ends can be problematic as well on the e-Revo. The e-Revo is still a lot of fun, but just not that reliable. I super glued my rod ends to the links and it helped, but didn't solve the issue completely. Don't forget the other brands out there like Redcat. Point is, no one makes a RC that doesn't break, but no RC is bad.

Dude, buy what you like don't listen to these people trying to tell you what to spend your hard-earned money on. Thank you for explaining that. I always thought ballooning for bashers is good (jumps, flips) and as for speed runs definitely not good. My xMaxx is no shelf queen. I beat my maxx it to hell and this tire/rim combo seems to be pretty good option. Thanks for sharing 👍🏿 Sub'd
