JP & Schawee Tackle A Mess Of Bees!

JP & Schawee remove a mature honey bee colony from a dilapidated termite infested garage & actually get along on this job for the most part albeit a small argument over who saw the queen first did ensue which is pretty much par for the course. Right off the bat, the Sanford and Son music killed me! LOL At 19:22 a small lizard/gecko of some sort crawls down the closest wall facing us. Cool! I was afraid that whole shed was going to just crumble and fall down on you guys at any minute! It's good to see a video from you. :-)

To think this is October, scare month and fright movies. As soon as the camera went into that building and I saw all the junk, I was amazed. That's like something out of a fright movie. And then to think of all those bees in there no less. Wow!!! I would have been frightened it would collapse on me!

Hey JP... Not sure who Shawee got the info from but his name is not " racoon " in french as racoon is " raton-laveur "... I'm thinking it might be derived from something like " Chat-oui " ( pronounced " sha-wee " ) which doesn't mean anything except litterally " yes-cat " ...or chat=cat / oui=yes. I was just taking a sip of my ice cold freezer coke, when that Sandford music came on in the garage, needless to say I spent the next hour wiping down my computer, and puttin a fan on it before I could finish watching the video.....true story. Patricktomlinson Tomlinson I believe I said 15,000 bees were vacuumed but we discovered another 2 pounds clustered on the interior ceiling. So all & all this colony had roughly a little over 20,000 bees best guess.

The best part was you getting through the maze through the garage to check it out. I can't believe you trusted the electrical enough to throw a switch without fear of being electrocuted. Hope you have good disability insurance.. We have hoarders here in Colorado but that was something else. Keep using that vacuum :)

Well those bees liked that location glad you where called out to save these bees . I think the owner of the shop might just be a hoarder. I mean there is no way he can use some of the stuff in that place . Pretty funny though how you where able to put your hand right through the wall . I was very surprised later when you had to haul out the skill saw to saw holes so you could take the plywood off I didn’t think there was wood left that strong . Anyways great video . I’m on to the next one .

I'd have told the owner that he needed to clear y'all some kind of path in there. That's crazy having to try to get in and work in those conditions. Imagine if the bees had gotten riled and you had to try to bail out through all that mess.

Glad to see a video from you - I didn't know if we'd hear from you soon after the flooding. How bad did the water get you?

DigitalArchmage I faired well, no flooding in my neck of the woods but Schawee lost about 90 colonies but was able to salvage all of his boxes. We've been filling them up at record speed though, so all is well & he didn't flood personally. If we would have got the rain that came down only 40 minutes west of me we would have been in trouble.
