Hey quick question I'm installing a double din car radio with a wiring harness adapter for my vehicle make. After i have ask the wires plugged in and connect it to the vehicle it powers on for about 3 seconds then turns off. The only thing i didn't connect was my antenna because i need an adapter, would that cause the problem or do you think it's the radio being defective?

He did answer, actually. He said if you aren't getting anything and fuse(s) is good you have a bad radio, meaning you have to replace. Worth mentioning to check the fuses in your car that pertain to radio, amp, ignition 😊

Most likely it is a component in the power circuit or distribution in the boards, gotta check for continuity and probe for where the voltages should normally be (i.e. inductors, and caps) Schematics would obviously be the best to have but those are the main checks to look, then next step would be to check for shorts to ground. The radio in my rv wouldn’t turn on, for months! Today I watched your video and was able to see that I didn’t have power going to the red wire, traced it to the issue!! It’s an rv so it gets wired to the house battery in the back, I then realized it has another fuse back three so total 4 fuses cus the darn stereo had a fuse behind it too! Thank you brother for this quick straight to the point video. I took all my paneling off and the radio, tested all the wires, checked the fuse and then read the manual. The manual showed a reset button on the front that would be easily accessible by just popping of the radio cover and it fixed my problem lmao

Thanks for the video, it helped me a lot. Did some troubleshooting with the tester and had a bad ground and the yellow/constant power wire I could never get working. The red ignition wire was good. So I ran a new wire for the fuse box to the radio yellow/ constant and everything came together. 👍

Hi JP, have 2021 nissan rogue SL with bose stereo. When you start car the radio automatically changes from SiriusXM to the FM band station. Happens every month. Other issue will be driving and radio shuts off then the nissan connect screen starts back up and radio resumes on same channel. This happens about every other month. Been to nissan dealer a good 6-8 times they cant fins issue. Any thoughts?

I am installing a aftermarket head unit, I have no power to the red acc I know the unit is ok I ran power to the amp and it works but it keeps the power on and drains the battery. Then the new stereo needs to be opened and the old radio fitted to the power cable. Then the old radio plays. After that opening the old one and fitting the new one, and it's play again. My radio works when it wants too it’s weird because I worked fine a month ago and then a couple of bumps I cut out and then about 15 minutes it came back on but now lately it works for a day after I run the ac for about 30 minutes it works but once I turn the car off it won’t come back on even if I turn the ac on and same thing today except nothing Is happening usually I can hold down the cd eject button and it will come on as far as power goes but won’t do nothing else almost like it’s frozen. I’m thinking it’s something internal and no it doesn’t have a built in fuse and the fuse that does control the radio under the dash is good and have plenty of replacements for them it’s either the microchips get hot and expand especially during the summer or the harness is loose or needs to be replaced unsure of which though and this is a replacement stock radio 2016 Dodge dart base radio not touch screen and not much info on these I had another stock radio before same kind and it completely died used to unhook the battery for about 5 minutes and it would work after but then it just stopped and remained useless for months.

2006 Hummer H3, the RAIDO turns on but it doesn’t turn on the music, if the battery is almost dead, and you try to start it, the audio comes on and works perfectly, once the h3 is running and battery is charged again, you turn it off and restart h3,the Radio won’t come on again….any ideas ?

The plug isn't completely flush but is pushed in all the way as much as possible and my fuze in the interior by the driver side against the door is good, but there's no fuze at all on the plug itself which is connected to the radio back side. I would need to grab my multimeter/ test light to test the wire as you have shown us. The radio has no power, even when pressing and turning all buttons on the radio itself. It is a factory radio I am trying to install since the seller gaved it to me stating it is working when he purchased it a while ago for a 2000 chevy cavaliar.

My car stereo keeps ejecting any cassette tape. On my other stereo the tape stops playing. I have to keep tapping or banging it to make it work. Even the radio i have to bang it to work. Then I drive over a bump or something and it stops again. I wired up a cd player and the radio works fine. I'm thinking loose connection inside unit for radio and worn belts for tape deck or out of alignment heads. Idk.

You taught me so much so here the problem xtrons unit in 04 mercedes w211 got everthing to work and unit is very hot bro smells like its burning.they saying why i hard wired my constant and ground on my model mercedes does not make iso harness for it so the iso harness xtrons gave me i had to cut off harness and hard wire i hand soldered and heat shrink perfect connections. Everthing working perfect down to can bus but the heat i smell burning its the unit i told them no fan for it ? Who is right?

No ones got my fucking problem. Legit the eject button is the only botton that works. If I hold that I can turn up and down the volume. If I press it goes to aux mode or tuner mode but then it switches off. If I press eject again it turns back on. Is there a fix or no?

Thanks for the video I have a issue with radio restarting after welcome text continuously no buttons work I have no idea what to do fuses good.

My radio will turn off with the ignition, but will not turn on with the ignition unless I press the power button on the radio. Any idea what that might be?

JP this is my problem the radio comes on also when any power comes on in the truck like my dome light what makes no sound nobody no buttons on the radio is working at all but the radio is lit up

I have a 2004 Jeep TJ. The radio light comes on but no music, same as the DVD.

I just did my wire hook up 3 times still no sound from radio no lights just found a orange wire and a blue that's never been used what do I do I also checked my fuse it's fine
