Why make the 250s slower? They ARE the show! The 250 races are usually good battles and guys running down the leaders. The 250s are good racing and the 450s have become pretty predictable with whoever gets the hole shot usually can win the race. Sure, Jett can run down the leaders at times but now the rest are healthy and it's not as easy for Jett as in the past which leads to Jett pushing faster and hitting the dirt more than he has in the past. IMO, if the AMA is going to slow down bikes, slow the 450s. The class would be better racing on 350s, safer speeds, lighter bikes and less injuries. That makes no sense to slow the 250s and is just going to make the 250s less interesting and boring. OR, bring back the 125s as a lites class and make the other class a 350 / 250 / 250 2 stroke class. Add diversity, ad competitiveness and make it more interesting for the fans. This would all workout to be more interesting but just making the 250s slower is not interesting at all, but it may make the 125 two stroke more competitive in the lites class.

Man I am a smoker owner and I rip all over 250s all the time!! I am an old man but if they are gonna weaken the 250s then it seems like the smokers would have to come back into play again. As it is the 450 class this season seems to be the most battle field season for all time 5 ir 6 guys can get on the track and take the checkers!! Man then let these youngsters that are waiting to graduate into 450s !! Wow will this just turn the whole 26 season into a 450 battle of the titans!!!!

The first that I heard concerning the 250 is from your channel. Sounds like the 250 class could become a "stock" class of some sorts (allowing the cockpit and suspension get set up for the rider) but the engine must remain stock. That will be one way to really slow the bikes down.

Just mandating a lower octane fuel will limit the secret factory ECU tunes so the smaller teams can compete without grenading their engines.

Its not a fuel thing its a decible thing. Theyre going to lower the acceptable noise level which will mean more aggressive mufflers etc which will hinder both the 450 and the 250 but probably especially someone on a 250 and specifically a star yamaha who is probably getting the absolute most out of the intake/exhaust combo that yamaha offers. By going 450 it wont be much of a difference because those bikes already are kind of fast enough accross the board.

What’s wrong with peacock? I mean sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s pretty close. I’ve had no issues at all with peacock and it’s super cheap. The only issue I have with them is the camera crew and them showing a battle for 7th place while 1st and 2nd are within a second or so of eachother and battling. Besides that, what issues have you had that makes peacock suck?

I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to be lowering the allowable db level of the bikes. Doing that on a 250 would quark it up pretty bad and not allow it to make as much power. It would especially hinder the Blue 250's as they are known to breath very well and produce great power.

I wish they’d allow guys who won either coast the previous year to run the 1e or 1w no matter what coast they choose the following season. It sucks for guys like RJ who had an injury in the offseason and having to race the opposite coast and so now he can’t run the 1 that he earned. I think it would be good for the sport and let newer fans see who the top guy to watch is. Don’t see why there would be an issue with having 1w on your bike if you’re racing east coast. Doesn’t say anything about the east, the East champion can still run the 1e like normal if he’s on that coast and it would just be cool to see two guys battling for the win while both having their #1s. I’m sure some will say “oh that’s dumb and blah blah blah” but just my opinion. Then again, I also don’t think there should be two different coasts to begin with in the 250s and they should all be racing eachother each round, but that won’t ever change.

It seems like supercross/motocrossë is trying to be like nascar and make the pack all run the same lap times . By making the bikes have less power they will make everyone run pretty much the same lap times and therefore making the background tighter that's what I think

The 4 stroke HP & TQ has advanced so much that it has thrown the classes out of whack. A 250 2 stroke and a 450 four stroke used to be competitive against each other and same for 125 2 stroke and 250 four stroke. Now 250 4 stroke is faster than the 250 2 stroke, so that makes the 450 4 stroke = to 500cc 2 strokes. There is too big of a gap from amature to riding a pro 250 4 stroke. So yes the 250 class needs to be slowed down. Realist we should have a 180 4-stroke class and a 350 4 stroke class, and add an unlimited class for out doors. But this will never happen. So just make the 250's run on 87 octane pump gas. and have a compression limit on the bikes, this is easy to enforce and check. My 2 cents.

Chase, Tomac, Webb, Anderson, Cooper, Hunter, Malcolm, Barcia, Craig??? I'd love to see Mr Anderson win! I think Chase maybe got his head on straight? Many GP riders and a few AMA riders were VERY competitive well into their 30s. Adolf Weil raced Roger to the last race of the year for the championship and Roger was over 30 and Weil was 36. John Dowd qualified for Southwick at 41 and took 4th in moto one and ended up in the top ten overall. The problem is starting kids too young now days. Roger made a statement in an interview in I think Dirt Bike or MXA about 30 years ago that once you start racing, you have 20 years to peak and then start to decline. It does make sense. The current riders start at 3-5 years old and are done and ready to quit at 25.

He was initially till his teens racing BMX Supercross, then made the switch much later... King Jeremy took this path... I'm going to keep an eye on him. 🥕🏁🕳🐇🏳
