Thank you so much for sharing this beneficial experience. Leader Dogs is obviously a first rate organization who cares deeply for their dogs AND their clients. This phase of your training not only provided you with knowledge, tips and techniques, and advice, it instilled confidence. That is a life game changer. Seeing AI is intriguing so I will look into that. My favorite part was watching you and Finn, both in training. I teared up several times during this video. What an impact! You are spot on with all of the benefits of going through this program. The confidence that is gained is huge. It is one thing to learn and retain skills, but to put them into practice and to be surrounded by people who are encouraging you, gets you to the point of being confident in your abilities. This confidence feels empowering, and I know that it helps drive me to continue on this journey and do bigger things. I hope others feel the same way, and I want more people to experience this.

I kind of squealed when I heard the babe Mandi in your video. She’s my friend and Braille teacher. I’ll be heading to Leader Dogs in October and I can’t wait.

Great video! I also have Stargardt's and have been legally blind for 20 years. Structured Discovery (shaded training) hasn't been a great fit for me so I may look into alternatives. Thanks!
