I play baritone without fingertips. I’ve also tried to play trumpet but the mouthpiece is just really difficult. The most weird thing is that people play with their fingertips which is literally just harder to do and less comfortable/relaxing.

@@bunn1 interesting. It’s probably because the trumpet is way smaller. Since the baritone is bigger and has a handle beside the valves you can rest your palm on that and play without finger tips and use the bottom of your fingers instead.

Because of our smaller pep band area, i pull out a tuba part for my euphonium, man that takes a lot of air, its usually bari sax and tuba on that part, but when bari aint there, i take a tuba part instead of my usual baritone part, or trombone, depends what flipbook i grab

For the tuba player a little advice, if possible pull out the 3rd valve tuning slide a little when you play Db C and B natural (in this case Db and C) to make it more in tune, still great though!
