This guy is literally one of the most likeable people. Literally no way reason to dislike him for. Absolute beast in the cage with very agressive technical and entertaining style and of absolute gentleman outside the ring. Really hope he does well in his life and looking forward for him capturing the belt. DC, Rumble and Jones are out for now and I cannot see anyone beating swedish Viking.

@Calel_S6 жыл бұрын
Bernie Rogan Well 0-4 If u count Phil, but he’s The Uncrowned King because he basically stalemated both DC and Jon Jones (Best fighter ever). Neither one of them dominated him and he beat them both up and nearly finished DC. Both those fights could have been labeled a draw how TWood vs Wonderboy was. In my book he’s a champion with no belt.

This is crazy, so my Grandmother and Grandfather lives in a very small town called Arboga which is located in Sweden (where I live) and it has about 15 000 habitants, now it's the family on my mother's side who comes from there (they grew up there) Now my uncle is very interested in MMA/UFC, and he tells me that he has seen Alexander several times in Arboga since he apparently grew up there! Whether he was fishing, shopping you could just see him walking around the town and it just amazes me that he can be sitting infront of Joe Rogan, guesting on his podcast! To me this blows my mind, someone from such a small town where I have visited several times becomes internationally famous and guest's on several different podcasts/tv shows etc. wow

Finally! As a swede and a huge fan of Alex and JRE this is like a birthday present or something. Alex fight against Jones was the first one i ever watched, it made me completely hooked into MMA so he will always be my no.1 guy for that, so not only because he is Swedish. Thought this would never happen, it's too bad it was a short episode though. The thing about this is that while i enjoyed it, i was also really disappointed in the questions posed by Joe. Granted this might not be something he has any knowledge of, but that's why he should do his research because it is a vital piece in Alex story and what makes him the guy he is known for today. Like a lot of people say, he is really humble and down to earth. But he wasn't always like that. When he was young he was involved in a bunch of teenage violence shit and he really fell on dark times, probably close to being "lost" for the rest of his life. Hearing a little bit more about his story would actually give a lot of insight into what type of person he is, and how he actually managed to steer himself into the right path so to speak. For example: He had a bunch of convictions, had to go to prison and as a last resort a type of "facility" for problem-kids. Think he was like 17-19. This place was like a military boot camp basically, they had to get up really early, be on time for work schedule and food. They also had a grueling training regiment. Alex actually thrived in this situation, the sense of purpose each day and the routines gave him discipline for the first time in his life. He actually bonded with one of the guys in the staff who taught him some martial arts and actually showed him MMA for the first time, believe it was Pride (Fedor vs Nog). Alex also took a diving license while at the facility and actually has a pretty interesting diving story in his arsenal, that incident actually could have costed him his life.

Joe, what about the expert on PED that said he believed that JJ was micro dosing and that it was tainted steroids? Its starting to get embarrassing... every second episode you bring up how you believe JJ was innocent...

Exactly, when Gustafsson brought up the text Colby wrote about him or whatever, I am sure it was colby saying John has been juicing since college, and colby was his roommate. Joe really shut it down quick, almost like he knew what it was about!

Gustafsson started training MMA in 2006, and before that he trained in boxing which he started when he was around 10 years old.[7] He won the national championship (youth-junior level) in 2003, at the age of 16. In 2008-2009 he made a quick return to boxing, winning some amateur tournaments in Sweden and defeating the Swedish heavyweight boxing champion in an amateur fight.[8][9] He was set to compete in the national championship even the following year, 2010, for which he was a big favorite to win. However, his newly awakened boxing career ended when he signed with the UFC in September, 2009. Just fucking around my fucking ass!! UFC makes him say that because UFC is based on an illusion.
