WorldSBK | Most - Ep6

It's been a crazy busy for weeks with our first back to back schedule. Here's how things went down in Most.
The trajectory of the weekend was a positive one - from qualifying P15 to achieve 10th, eighth and sixth positions is somewhat positive but it really highlighted the importance of qualifying because track position is everything. My pace in all races was a little bit better than those around me, and even to be a bit more in front could have been achievable this weekend - but just trying to get though on traffic was really difficult. I made a really good start in
Race 2 after giving myself half a chance from the third row of the grid, but someone came through over the top in T2 and it killed my drive into Turn 3 - but never give up on the race, always! The podium group was a bit faster, but once I settled into my rhythm I was able to dispose of the Hondas pretty quick and Rinaldi was the next target.
I just kept my head down lap after lap and caught him. We had a bit of tyre left, I could see the pace of the front guys was dropping but they were too far ahead. It ended on a positive note

​@@Roberto7537 Does it really matter? What did he do with Yamaha last year was epic. He was the only rider who could keep up with all the Ducati's. Especially before lowered rpm's with Bautista's weight advantage. No one is forcing love to Toprak, he just deserves a little bit of respect! What he's done and doing is just proof of how good he is.

​​@@Roberto7537 Toprak was riding a Kawasaki when they were lowering the revs because they were trying to slow Rea down. And ALL Kawasakis had their rpm limit reduced, not just Rea. Toprak was also on a satellite Kawasaki and was new to SBK and was still able to challenge Rea on occasion when Rea was still winning everything. Toprak is a unique talent.

@@Roberto7537 Did an alien impose kawasaki's rev limit? He won a race while on the alien satellite team. Why is it difficult for you to appreciate someone who is talented? Would you appreciate it if it were Spanish, English or Italian? I learned that Italians like to cry. Instead of wasting time crying, finding a rider who can ride a superior motorcycle like Ducati well would be a good solution.

Appreciate everything You do, from racing, to vloging, tips, behind the scenes. For us fans of the sport and especially You and Your career, it's a privilege to have insight of what and how everything works. As for the Yamaha, comparing to Topraks previous years on it, it seems he was riding it more mental and full sending it, I know it comes down to the feedback of it, but You're getting up there. The R1 is a great bike. I hope they can give it more power to fight against the Ducati and the BMW. But Yamaha was astonishing in the Suzuka 8 hours this year. I hope Johnny races in the Suzuka 8 Hours next year, that would be great!! ✨✨✨

What was the comment about the dorna headline? Can't make it out due the bloke mumbling. Jonathan your doing a great job, great progress at Donny and Most, you will get there eventually. Not that you have anything to prove, we all know your one of the greatest wsbk riders ever, it's unfair to compare against other era's as bikes, tires and the general race format of weekend was different. Anyway another great video, fast and top notch production and you just being brutally honest and yourself.

I'll resist the temptation to tell you it'll all be OK because we both know it wont. You had years wringing the neck of the Ten Kate Honda when along comes the green machine that Tom Sykes had developed into a winner , to show you what Parc Ferme looked like. Whilst the Yamaha represented a new challenge/era , did you wildly imagine you could do what Toprak was unable to ? Maybe the ONLY question in the room should be , how long is Van Der Mark's contract ? 🤔

I remember you saying win as slow as you can. Razza is a fantastic rider and people need to find how to beat him. As they needed to learn to beat you. Took them a long time!!

Is it just me or is JR's body positioning tentative because he hasn't got the feeling and confidence to push yet? I'm sure once that clicks JR will be back up fighting for podiums again. I think this is affecting Bautista as well. By contrast, Toprack's frame of mind, bolstered by all the paddock, TV coverage and fans' adulation he's rightly receiving, is one of total self-belief so he has no doubts that he will succeed.
