i'm not good at english. water means a passage between heaven and actual world. V in the water, so he is in coma. Jin is in red line(emblam body line) and V draw X. so Jin alive and he's in dream. that house of card means state of risk. Jin don't want to escape that dream and V don't want Jin die. so he broke Jin's card. at that time jin looks serious because he realize V's intend. in the scene that V and rapmon caught by police, V smile to rapmon but notice it's the past memory, so he become serious. When jin stop the traffic and others make a disturbance, only that car owner's statement was 'take out a car'(in korean). it means that members are just jin's imagination. last scene jungkook look back jin and smile because jin quit a dream and will alive. they want jin will survive. And V quit the water. it means V survive or arrive at heaven.

Another theory is that Jin is the only one dead. And the boys start acting out to bury their feeling. J-Hope starts taking drugs etc. Some of the boys pair off eg. Suga and Jungkook, Jhope and Jimin and Rap monster and V. And Jin is in heaven or limbo/purgatory where he thinks he's with the boys but he realises that things are too perfect( seen in the prologue) he's alone and imaging things. Jungkook realises that they are acting out to a point where they don't care like when V was being cocky. So he, Jungkook, tries to reason with Suga and Suga keeps living in denial so they fight. Notice how when they are in the tunnel and they are running. Jin is in the car. But only 5 of them are running away and later you see Rap monster is driving. Jin is with them in spirit. In the end Jungkook sees that Jin is with them since you only see 6 of them walking so Jin is in the car.

+Stg ihu - I posted this already, but thought it will be easier for you if i reply directly - Jin is dead (he wasn't in Jimin's pic at the end) and they all suffer because of that. He was also dead in I need you, that's why everyone tried to kill themselves. J-hope and Jimin are in the hospital, V tried to drown himself (like Jin died), but didn't complete the process (thanks god!). Suga was extremely mad and got drunk, but Cookie tried to calm him and that's why they fought. I think Cookie is the only one who accepted Jin's death and now he feels responsable for the group (hence the little smile at the end and him staying behind the rest of them), as Jin was responsable before (the tunnel scene etc). The video is full of flashbacks. This is what I gathered by now:)))

Jin is the only one who died. The others are having a hard time accepting that, which is why we see J-Hope in the hospital, because he overdosed. V tried to drown himself. Also, in the prologue, he calls Jin and tells him "Hyung, I need to see you", because he hasn't accepted Jin's death. When Rapmon and V spray paint Jin's outline, its like a body at a crime scene. Also, Jungkook is the only one who had accepted Jin's death. Jungkook and Suga fight because Suga is drunk while Jungkook is trying to make him understand Jin's death. Also, when the boys are running in the tunnel, we can see that Jin is in the car, which means that he's shining a light and guiding the boys. At the end of that scene, Jungkook looks at Jin and smiles, telling him that he can move on and go to heaven now and the boys will be okay. At the end, when Jimin is in the bathtub, we see him burning the polaroid because there's only 6 members in if, not Jin. Idk this is just what I think and BigHit might just be fucking with all of us lol.

my theory I posted on the MV that got top comment is that no one but Jin died. I think Run was the aftermath of everything. I think the boys couldn’t handle Jin’s death so they became reckless. I feel like Suga’s “death” in I Need U was metaphorical, and from what we see in Run, Jimin and Jhope wake in a mental hospital alive and well. Throughout the prologue we saw Jin always in far away places taking pictures of the boys, and when Suga didn’t appear in the picture he took we assumed that they were all dead, but what if that was Jin’s world between life and death where he couldn’t accept everything and move on. Maybe that’s why Suga and Jungkook fought, bc Kookie was trying to get Suga to come to terms with Jin’s death. I don’t think that they all died after Jin, I think the previous MV’s just showed how much they suffered without him. In Prologue, after V had killed that man and called someone saying "hyung, I want to see you." I think it was Jin who he wanted to see, but he couldn't bc he was dead. They all were eventually able to come together though. I think that moment in the tunnel when they all were yelling and vandalizing the cars is when they finally were able to come to terms with Jin's death and let go. Throughout Run you see Kookie looking off in the distance as if he’s aware of Jin’s presence, and when Kookie looks back a final time and smiles, I think that was him telling Jin that they were all gonna be alright. Run…run…run like we did in the past. That's why they can’t stop running anymore.

Well, at a crime scene, don’t they usually outline the body of someone dead? When you put an ‘X’ over something, what does it mean? You’re saying that it’s void, no longer there or of relevance. We also see Jin building the House of Cards, which is also the title to their outro. If you read the lyrics to the song there's one part that goes “As if there’s no such thing as tomorrow, As if there’s no such thing as 'next time’ Right now, in front of my eyes, everything without you Is a terribly pitch-black darkness.” What can we gather from this? The lyrics talk about being unable to move on, even as time passes by they can’t escape the darkness that follows from missing someone who’s gone. Who else do we see surrounded by pitch-black darkness at the beginning of the MV? Taehyung.

Hi, did you notice that Jin disappeared in the photo Jimin was holding at the end. That's because Jin was the one who actually died and the others are misbehaving because they're are mourning Jin's death by rebelling. Also in 'I Need U' you can see Jin in a white room, and also dressed in white, this symbolises that Jin is dead and in heaven or near death. In 'Run' Jin is never with the boys he is pretending to be with them or watching over them. Also in 'Run', when the boys' are driving of after vandalising the cars, you can see there is only 5 people in the back that's because RapMonster is actually the one who is driving, because Jin is dead. Another point my younger sister wanted to make, was that in the prologue when V jumps of the scaffolding, that's only happening in Jin's reality or his 'heaven', but in reality that's when V killed that man in ( we think it's his father) 'I Need U'. Also, back to the 'Run' MV, JungKook is fighting Suga to try and tell him that Jin is gone and they have to move on but Suga won't accept that, this is why the boys' play up, JungKook realises that what they have done is wrong. At the end when JungKook looks back at the camera he is actually looking back at Jin and is letting him know that he can move on now and he does not need to worry about them anymore, in a way it's like JungKook moving on and getting over Jin's death. Wow i'm so sorry that the paragraph is so long, ( we have wayy more ideas but we thought this was enough again i'm sorry for writing so much ) but me and my younger sister really wanted to write this and let people know what our ideas are after gathering different ideas from other theories and trying to link them together. P.S (Sorry more explaining ) In the prologue Jin is the only one who appears in the photo, because he is in his 'heaven' or own reality and is having a flashback of his life and is remembering all the good times, that's why he's recording everything to try and take the memories with him. Suga does not appear in the photo because he is in the real world with everyone else. So when Jin see's that it's like a wake up call to the fact that he's dead. That then leads on to the 'Run' MV because he worries about how much pain he's caused his friends and has to watch over them. That's why Jin thinks he is the reason why they're "running", because they are "running" away from reality ( his death) , hence why the MV is called 'Run' . Also in the 'Run' MV, when the boys' are at the party with Jin, that is actually Jin's "dream", for example when V graffitis Jin, it cuts back to reality where he is graffiting the wall with RapMonster. In the MV they are all put in pairs but only in the "reality world" : RapMonster & V, JungKook & Suga , and Jhope & Jimin. JIn is the only one without a pair, showing he is dead. The reason why V is drowning is because all their reckless actions are slowly drowning them, but V's in the water because he committed the worst crime out of all of them by killing his father. That's why in the MV you can see the boys' heads swaying like V in the water because they are all drowning e.g when Suga walks down the street. Jin reacts differently to the cards falling because it is a reality check for him, that he is dead like in the prologue when he is filming the butterfly.

actually Jin is the only one dead i think. Run is just the aftermath of what happened and how everyone is dealing with his death. Suga goes crazy, Jihope's failed suicide attempt, Rapmon putting the lollipop in the coffee i guess represents him putting out the fire that caused the gas station to blow up i guess, and V jumping in the water. Jungkook i think survived the car accident and was the only one who that comes to realize that Jin is gone instead of denying it, but knows that he'll always be with him in spirit, and he was the one trying to help everyone get over it. V i guess survived the jump, look at how his shirt says nirvana (yes it is a band but it may mean more) Nirvana means to find ultimate peace with yourself. I guess the water represents his struggle to face the fact that Jin is dead but soon comes to terms that Jin is dead and finds inner peace? and the reason why that the members are so upset with the death is because Jin was some sort of protection to them.

I think that this MV is open for everyone to interpret it in their own way..for me personally I think this is the beginning of I Need U because at the end Jimin burnt the picture in the same way he did at the start of I need U...Also, it's obvious that all of them have lost each other in someway and they're remembering the good times they had like when Kookie was on the floor and all of them was playing around in his living room and then they zoomed in then out and they all disappeared...so yeah that's basically him remembering his good times and Suga being drunk and all that was the present...We can all interpret it differently but at the end of the day BTS is a fucking AMAZING group and this MV was damn well-made and I'm so proud of them

Hear my THEORY: Jin is a motherly like figure to them all & they can't accept his death except for JK who's accepted it. All the members cope with Jin's death differently. JK punches Suga because he's "drinking" to deal with the pain. V & RapMon vandalize & get into trouble with the police because they need something to rid of the pain. Jimin & JHope are admitted to the mental hospital after trying to commit suicide to get over Jin's death. In the prologue, Jin remembers the death of all the other members. In Run, the members remember Jin's death. At the end, JK looks into the camera because he knows that Jin is looking over them all & smiles. While Jimin attempts to burn all the painful memories.

My theory is So none of them died, only jin did. As you can see V fell in the water but at thee end he surfaced. Rap monster put his cigarette out in his coffee (the lollipop), the car stopped before it hit kookie, jimin and jhope attempted suicide but neither succeeded and ended up in the hospital/mental hospital. yoongi I think didn't set himself on fire because kookie opened his eyes before he did so. To deal with jins death V and rap monster became criminals, but v realizes when they get caught that what they are doing is wrong. jimin and jhope try to kill themselves over it. And yoongi tries to drink and smoke his pain away (the lollipop he has in his mouth) but kookie punches him and fights with him to try and get it through yoongi's head that what he's doing isn't good and isn't going to work and he wants him to stop. You know jin is dead because after the credits jimin holds a photo of them all but jin disappears in the photo and that's when jimin burns it. Also in the prologue, in the beginning v calls jin crying and bloody after killing that man and says into the phone "I miss you hyung". And that's also why in the prologue rap monster writes on the mirror "we need to survive" talking about how they need to survive from jins death. Kookie is the only one who really accepted jins death that's why he smiles at the end.

Jin is dead (he wasn't in Jimin's pic at the end) and they all suffer because of that. He was also dead in I need you, that's why everyone tried to kill themselves. J-hope and Jimin are in the hospital, V tried to drown himself (like Jin died), but didn't complete the process (thanks god!). Suga was extremely mad and got drunk, but Cookie tried to calm him and that's why they fought. I think Cookie is the only one who accepted Jin's death and now he feels responsable for the group (hence the little smile at the end and him staying behind the rest of them), as Jin was responsable before (the tunnel scene etc). So Jin is in his purgatory between life and death in prologue. Jimin and J-Hope are in a mental hospital. Suga didn't actually die and Jungkook is the only one who accepted Jin's death and is trying to stop Suga from drinking away his life. RapMon is out there committing crimes with V who has ran away after killing his Father. Everybody is just pretty much dying inside, while Jin is literally dead.

okay here's the story. Jin was the one who died first in I Need U, which is why the flower was at the location of his heart because he doesn't have a heart since he is dead. So the other members are going crazy and not doing things right after his death, which is shown in Run. In the prologue, jin is holding the camcorder filming and NOT stopping v when he is about to jump because Jin is not alive, and v smiles at him before jumping because he is about to go to heaven with him, which explains why v is in the water in run drowning. and at the end in run when its all black, that explains V's death. (V commits suicide because he killed that man in I Need U because he went crazy after Jin's death) Now J-hope overdosed with something in I Need U which is why he was like high or something in that bridge and wakes up in a hospital bed in Run. Jungkook was the only one who finally accepted Jin's death, so he tried to help suga, but suga was drunk and all that so jk punched him, but all his attempts to help suga failed, so he left and ran away and later gets hit by a car and dies, which is why at the end he stares at a car. idk what happened to rapmon or suga in the end. i believe jimin drowned in that bathtub in i need u,,,,,,,,, OH AND jin wasn't in the polaroid picture that jimin burned
