This new draft and policy that UGC has brought, now the NET qualification holds no value and anyone with average percentage score in their UG & PG can become Assistant Professor (with political connection and source) . Then what is going to happen to all of students who have worked for years for their NET and PhD, when anyone anywhere can just get in without this minimum eligibility? Why would students now prepare for NET and do a PhD research, they are not conducting exams or increasing Assistant Professor seats but bringing useless rules for more scope of corruption every now and then.

There should be some strict rules for the selection of Asst. Prof. Flexibility, multidisciplinarity is okay, but allowing anyone and everyone who has completed UG and PG to become Asst. Prof. is a very problematic thing. Higher education is not a joke, and this will just result in very low quality teaching. Maybe in 10 or 20 years' time, our generation will be so weak in their education that we won't be able to have proper critical thinking skills, which are absolutely needed to become a holistic individual. Our teachers should be ones who inspire us. Moreover, corruption will become as all-time high, an under the table handling will increase. This is very concerning.

Last year muje job se hata diya gaya kaui ke mera NET nahi clear ho raha. But mei last 13 years private college mei lecturer ke job karte the aur mere students ne NET clear keya jenhe mene teach keya tha. Mere students ache job par kaam kar rahe hei govt as well as private. So ab bataye jo ye keh rahe hei ke NET hona chaheye to kaya ye exam ek best teacher koun hei ye decide kar deta hei. Mera subject mei students ka result hamesha acha raha aur jo NET qualified hei unke students fail hue hei aur compartments aaye hei. Agar baat lare transparency ke to NET ke exam mei bhe logo ne paise dekar exam clear keya hei. Transperancy sirf NET ke exam ko rakh kar nahi hoge, Best education de kar hote hei. NET ka exam clear karne ke baad bhe lecturer comission ka paper clear karna parta hei govt lecturer ke leye to kaui ek ache experinced persons jo teaching mei ache hei unhe sirf ek NET exam ke base par qualify mana jaye. Haa nahi hua muj se clear NET abhe tak and I lost my job due to this NET exam qualifying criteria but I know I am best in teaching.

Net should be not be mandatory, API should be it will judge experience and knowledge and there should be interview where subject knowledge can be checked, i have seen so many good people sitting with great publication in scopus and WOS nothing against net aspirants but net cannot be the criteria that's what i believe if you are really talented work and publication explore subject practically.. one more thing predeory journals and peered review journals should and reputed journal publications should be differentiated which is not there..
