Total we go over the total cost to fix our flooded 2018 Maserati Granturismo that we bought at salvage auction for just $30,000. Was it a simple fix or was there indeed engine damage? All Maseratis have a long check engine light at start up. That’s because the computer does a full diagnostic on every start up.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Maserati. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that made me think “wow”... but in all honesty, at the end of the video, I actually thought wow I want that. Red interiors would also normally be a huge NO for me, but it looks great in this car! Seriously, the paint colour, the wheels, the interior and the sound make this car very desirable. Who cares about the flood! It’s sorted. It’s back on form! Well done and thank you for sharing 🙌🏼⭐️

Have you looked at the shocks to see if Skyhook has been replaced with lowering springs, MC Suspension, coilovers, etc.? FYI, I got a slightly longer serpentine belt for my 2013 GT Sport and haven't had any belt issues since. Ferrari set this engine up to be driven hard but some things wear out quickly.

Plant your camera and sit behind a desk- avoid all the arm waving and the camera jumping from one place to another. Show a spreadsheet of your costs. Copart buys will cost you another 20% over the auction price after fees and delivery. You will also have all the costs and time involved in state safety inspections, insurance and licensing- factor in some costs for time as well- be realistic in the real cost to buy, fix and own one of these cars.

EVERY car last 10 years is SOOOOO battery specific and dependent. Why? Everything works off the battery, not the alternator or generator --because the battery supplies a more steady state of electricity which helps emissions. Or so I'm told. So. New batteries are CRUCIAL.

I love restoration videos and channels. I detailed at a high end pre-used car dealer. And there I had learned that maseratis get a bad reputation. Truth is the one car that had to be jump started the most was the maseratis but mostly the ghibli which was meant to be more of a family sedan. It was made with dodge interior and infotainment. The gran turismo which is this one here was going for around 80 grand a couple years old. Being that they spent approx. 40 on this one and it will have a salvage auction title. Hmmm.. They might've made out a few grand after man hours but they are fun to drive and a lot of people still compliment it because of the name. They are sexy and sporty and it's worth it for the channel but if they ever try to sell it to make a good profit, people will frown upon the water damaged salvage title. Still nice and YES to the red interior!

Comments about two years, the Electronics will be a problem! Depends on the water! If it is brackish water or just rain water,it probably is not a great problem.But if it is salt,well you haven’t got a chance. You will know in a couple of hours the probs that that will cause. Here in the UK,we used to have flooding under the archway of our town bridge on a high tide. And we pulled out lots of them. We tried and tried but usually they were useless. And that’s before the “Electronic” era.

Sounds like shit! Made a v8 sound like a 4banger. A v8 should sound like a v8. I hate all the high tuned exhaust on v8 engines. The original exhaust sound is much better. Low tune growl with a mean ground shaking exhaust is remanesanc of a true muscle car. Just my opinion

A perfectly good car....... completely ruined with auto transmission and the steering wheel is on the wrong said. Manual transmission is the only way for me. Sounds great though. What a sound track

Many of the problems with the flooded cars do not appear immediately.They appear later,anytime.You can drive on the highway with 200 mph and any electronic little or big thing in the car can fail.False detection can be executed,false signal can be transmitted and this could lead to serious crash.On the other hand there is always a corrosion,rust in the long run and many parts will become greenish...Ask the best mechanics in the world about flooded cars and they will tell you.

Yep it's a nice car BUT once it's been considered a total loss by an insurance company NO other insurance company will pay out on it again... I bought a car not knowing it had been totaled and got in a accident and my insurance wouldn't pay for it because of the previous pay off.

I think red interior reminds me of the '90's porn movies. But what is the alternative? brighter colors stain easily and black interiors are just doll. Two tone grey interior might look good in a car like this, then it is still a car made for adult people.
