I say this as a huge Arctic Monkeys fan, who was at this show, and liked humbug.... it was a really poor setlist, for the time and place. The album was out for less than a week, and this was a Saturday night festival headline set. Nobody knew the new songs and it really flattened the crowd after a storming set by the Prodigy. Something which the band themselves have since acknowledged that they got wrong.
@DanielVlogs26023 жыл бұрын
Mark Millar yeah I thought that there were far too many humbug songs given how new the album was (and that humbug isn’t really that great for festival music imo), maybe this explains why they only played a couple of AM songs at glasto in 2013

lmao don't lie to yourself, no one likes their "new style", they suck now compared to how they used to be. At least the only people I have seen saying they liked it are girls who think Alex is hot and will say whatever. Their music now is boring AF and it's basically just Alex trying to be a lame solo act as some kind of cheesed out 70s singer. I didn't even mind "Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino", it was actually a pretty fun album, as a once-off concept type thing, it certainly grew on me. At least there were songs on there that had guitar and were catchy. But "The Car"? Hell no, talk about a pile of dog crap, was shocked that a band like the Monkeys would put out something that subpar. Really hope that they see the light and get back in the studio with Josh Homme again and make some magic, the world needs it, and so does the band, desperately.

What if alex turner is going back to that lovely long hair? WHAT IFFFFF?
@hcampina10010 жыл бұрын
I think he is. Went to the last concert in AM Tour and his hair was pretty long
@georgerendell148510 жыл бұрын
I really hope so, his hair was great in 2009. Lately his hair had been getting pretty long and strands fall down either side of his face and it looks very 90s but it's good
@celiaschipper961810 жыл бұрын
I quite liked it in like the 2012ish era. Same style as now, but quite a bit shorter. His long sheepdog hair is cute tho. :)
