The Boston Celtics just scraped by the Indiana Pacers in Game 1. And this match up perfectly showed why Jrue Holiday is one of the best two players across the NBA.

Jrue is what celtics fans want Smart to be for years. Excellent perimeter defense, give space for the Jays, and not shoot forced, ill-advised shots.

Idk Marcus smart was a dpoy too, and would have games where he’d give you 6-8 from three and make some defensive stops, tho that usually happened later in series I noticed

I was so pumped when the Celts traded injury prone Williams and Brogdan for Jrue. I loved Rob but he just cant stay available and Brogdan has horrible knees. It was a such a lopsided trade. Thank you Milwaulkee for making that trade possible!

Jrue Holidays playstyle reflects his faith. Unselfish and wants to see his team succeed, humble and aggressive like a lion. Joshua 1:8 - he understands how to apply gods principles to his game. This is what being a Christian is about showing who God is through what you do. Team mate of the year for a reason. All praise to God, I hope I can motivate the younger generations the same.

He can to a degree. He's really strong and if he gets low against a big he can hold his ground somewhat. Obviously he cant contest their shots vertically, but he can play positional defense.

@maartenvz The exception doesn't make the rule. that's one tiny example out of hundreds of examples saying otherwise. the statement still stands. And Butler didn't do shit against the Celtics this year except run his mouth and get sent home that's why pat Riley had to tell his ass to pipe down bring up relevant arguments... every years a new year..

I think the celtics problems aren't their ceiling, but their floor. If they can't hit from deep, they lose. Tatum, brown, and holiday aren't the most consistent players. We'll see how they do against the west.
