Made more clutch plays in one season/playoff run than smart had made in like the last 4 seasons.. Sadly smart was on the decline and sometimes you just gotta let it go. I was very happy when the trade happened. Can't get sentimental if the main goal is to win a chip with our young core

I said that he needed to go from the jump. His decline is artificial. Smart is every bit as capable as people believe but he just made poor decisions at the worst times. He wanted to be the star of the team and was willing to sacrifice winning to get there. Basically the exact opposite of the current culture.

The one thing I wanna say about this particular interview is these reporters along with all others need to give the professional athlete his own space by keeping the microphones out from underneath his chin and up against his chest give him some room… your microphones are so sensitive you can pick up a gnat landing at 100 yards and tell whether it’s a male or female by the sound it makes when it lands… You don’t have to be right on him!
