I really cannot stress how much I appreciate these videos. Tomorrow I’m meeting with some of my friends to study at the local library and on Monday I have the test. So, I think I’ll be prepared by then.

Keep up the good work and just focus on those specifics for each FRQ and I’m sure you’ll do well. Once you see it, the format is pretty much the same.

question, for the fundamental theorem of calculus it’s F(b)- F(a), so why when we plug in the values we do f(2)-f(-2) instead of capital F?
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
Liz, it’s because we understand that F’(x) = f(x)…so when you take the integral, we get f(x) . Hopefully that makes sense or maybe someone else has a better explanation.

correct me if I'm wrong, but for the part d, we only really needed to check x = 2 and the end points, right? Because x = -1 is a local maximum and x = 6 is an inflection point, so they definitely cannot be candidates for the absolute minimum.
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct but I would always get in the habit of checking all critical points in the candidates test. You knw your stuff.

could you do a slope fields/ sep diff FRQ? With the exam coming up, i wanna see some examples of finding the particular solution since i suck at it 😭
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
Yes, will try to do that as soon as possible. In the meantime, I also have done slope field questions of past exams. Check those out and hopefully they can help as well.

For FTC, wouldn’t it be the initial condition plus the integral from a to b of f PRIME of X? Not f(x)
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
btmac302, you’re right, I should’ve wrote f’(x)…I got so used to f(x) that I missed it but the answer doesn’t change. Good eye!

@@jsandov6 thank you! Your videos helped me a lot, I felt really good on the 2024 BC FRQs.
@ank05596 ай бұрын
on part d, since f(b) is 2 and is the upper limit of integration, wouldnt you need to put a negative infront of the integral when putting 2 as the lower limit of integration when solving f(6) and f(8)

I really really need your help there a question i did last year in ab calc that I am confused about , this is the question, Dp/Dt=p×0.02cos(pi/30(t+10)), with the initial condition p(50)=15 ,they need the particular solution ,can you please give me its answer with steps please

Rose, was this an FRQ question? I would need to know the context of the question to understand it better.

@@jsandov6 yes it is a frq and It was on the ap frq exam last year , can you please help me with it

when justfying parts c and d do you need to justify with words or no? Is the work itself enough for justification?

I looked at the ap classroom frq response scoring notes and what he did satisfies the criteria to get all points

I alike to use words as well, just to leave no doubt. Remember, be short and to the point, and use the same verbiage from the question to make it easy on yourself.

can you not use the functions of the x's you found to make smaller areas and just more convinient to solve
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
You definitely could but I think this was the easiest for me to solve. You just have to be careful when creating the different areas. Hope this helps.

is practicing these questions good for BC exam as well?
@jsandov66 ай бұрын
Absolutely, practice those specific types because it gets your mind used to what you’ll see.
