I love how Disney releases their movies in packages. I love owning the 3D, Blu Ray, DVD & Digital Copy all in one package. That's what stuck out to me the most in your collection is that you have the best package for every movie you have. I don't use the DVD's & rarely use the 3D version but I love the "option" Disney gives me to do so.

Just noticed This was uploaded the same month where i got nerdy about pixar and turned 13! I wanna tell a Personal Story, i was hyped for Inside Out and me and my mom watched it in theaters and ended up loving it :), sadly it was the last pixar film she saw before passing away :(, She loved watching nearly all things Disney and Pixar, but thanks to her she shaped my taste for animation🥰. I know my story went a bit dark but we got to respect our parents for introducing us to Disney/Pixar and animation in-general.

I will not lie when I say this: from 2019 to 2020, I used to be okay with the G and PG ratings for not just Disney, but any other live action or animated movie, because I believed that just as long as the rating is G or PG, the film is for the entire family because G means “General Audiences,” and PG means “Parental Guidance.” But then, I realized that a majority of studios that make movies with G or PG ratings are children’s film studios, and most of their films aren’t too great because the creators want kids to be the main target audience for their movies, although their parents can still watch with them as a family together, and for nostalgia. But as for the Disney movies on the other hand, most of their movies are cult classics, especially with their amazing 2D animation and gorgeous music scores, and the stories and either most or all of the characters and songs being timeless and great too. The films made by Walt Disney himself are truly wonderful for sure because Walt is an awesome man. The films from the Disney Renaissance are also good, and the rest would have to depend on the directors, and so far, most of those are good too. Yes, because most of the Disney movies are really fantastic, that’s the main reason why they’re extremely family-friendly compared to other studios and cartoon shows. Walt Disney is the guy who proved that animation is not just for kids and that parents can enjoy it too. That’s why his films have no age limit at all, and therefore no target audience either, because no age mean no target. Walt’s films are intended for large family audiences, not young audiences. And I already told you Walt’s quotes about this, so let me get back to the film ratings. So, in 2021, I started finding the G and PG ratings, as well as any other rating, useless for the Disney films only. Movie ratings are pointless and I don’t want to talk about them ever again. The movie itself is still good, but the rating is just unnecessary. Films from other studios and children’s TV shows can keep their ratings all they want, but because a lot of the Disney films are actually family films, they don’t need any ratings at all. All they need to say is “whole/entire family” in their VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray descriptions, and that’s it.

Sorry for making this long comment, but here are a few things I need to point out: The year of released for the Pixar films: Toy Story- 1995 A Bug's Life- 1998 Toy Story 2- 1999 Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins- 2000 Monsters inc.- 2001 Finding Nemo- 2003 The Incredibles- 2004 Cars- 2006 Ratatouille- 2007 Wall-E- 2008 Up- 2009 Toy Story 3- 2010 Cars 2- 2011 Brave- 2012 Monsters University- 2013 This year (2015), there will be two Pixar films release, Inside Out in June and The Good Dinosaur in November. And finally as I remember I heard from *****, the Blu-Ray cases that came with Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are UK style Blu-Ray cases. But this is the best collection video you have made to date, even way better than the one in May/June 2013.

J's Blu-Rays I understand what things are like when growing up. When you are born in the 1990s , you will have a lot of interest in these movies, but when you get older you would start to lose a lot of interest in them. That's how life goes. It happened to me as well, I was interested in these things when I was younger, but as I grow up, I lose my interest in these things and start to get interested in things for high school students and people like that. It's like the popular Final Fantasy series (I'm not a fan of the series, but I'll just mention it anyway and sorry in case you don't know the series), where it was an awesome series, but as we get to the modern times, the series has changed a lot with different style of gameplay and even the design and graphics too. Too most people I see, the change in the Final Fantasy series over the years cause many people to lose interest in the series and many people have a negative opinion in the modern and recent Final Fantasy games. So the way the FF series went on is somewhat similar to how Pixar changes their style of animations. We just have to move on with life and have different interests. That's why you were like the series (both Disney/Pixar and Final Fantasy) has gone downhill as most people mentioned.

Yeah, everything you said makes perfect sense. Aside from pixar, I can say that I cannot easily connect with modern Nickelodeon shows like I used to as a kid. It could be argued that it's simply because the shows suck now, but that wouldn't be fair for the kids growing up watching it right now...maybe they like what's on TV. It could totally be that the only reason I think it's terrible is just because I won't ever have the same interest in those kinds of shows ever again like I did as a kid. With some stuff in the disney/pixar franchise, I do truly believe there is some cash exploitation going on though, rather than it just being I'm grown up and therefore can't relate as much. For example...Monster's University, Cars 2, Toy Story 3, Finding Dory, etc. Lots and lots of sequels going around and I feel like it's because they know it will make them money. But on the other hand, they do have a few original titles upcoming as well like Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in the next few years and say that they still make some great original animated movies if the next few films prove to be on the same level as Toy Story was when it first launched. I've never seen Final Fantasy, but I get what you're talking about. The same type of thing is happening with Veggie Tales. They completely changed the way the characters look and I think it's just creepy. But who am I to judge now? I'm not in the age group that they are making those shows for anymore so technically they're not going to care what I have to say about it (and perhaps rightly so). It's just the way it is, I guess. Always have to keep the growing up factor in mind when reviewing cartoons because I have an unfair bias towards the shows I grew up watching.

J's Blu-Rays So for Toy Story 3 and beyond, you're basically referring to releases of Pixar films in the 2010s (Toy Story 3 was the first Pixar film released in the 2010s) where they mainly just make sequels for older films and have more realistic animation compared to what it's like in the 90s and early 2000s.

Yeah, pretty much. Early on, most films were original, new ideas. Toy Story 2 would have been the only exception. But lately there are just a plethora of sequels (or a prequel in the case of Monster's University). And I actually really enjoyed Toy Story 3 so I don't want to knock that one too much. Same with Monster's University. But I want to see them making more new films with characters we've never seen. I just remember, for example, seeing Monster's Inc. for the first time and just being amazed at how incredible of an idea it was to have a monster world that was powered by human screams...Like, how does someone think of something so creative like that? I want to see more movies that will make me feel like that again. But let's see what's upcoming...We got Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. So those are some new ones we have to look forward to. But we also have Finding Dory, Toy Story 4, Incredibles 2, and Cars 3 on the line...That just seems like overkill to me.

The reason the Pixar Shorts blu ray doesn't have a play all button is because there are a variety of different audio codecs for that vary short by short including Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 7.1, DTS-HD HR 7.1, and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1. That means that they'd need to play the shorts in separate video files instead of one whole video file like the first volume. So, Disney could've just let each short play one by one like how individual episodes are arranged on a DVD season set, but I guess they were too lazy to do that and decided to just lay them all out individually on the menu instead.

i was almost six when buzz’s movie the adventure begins came out & had it on vhs. i moved in october 2017 & my vcr still worked but my mom made me get rid of it & all my other vhs tapes anyway :( i bought it on dvd from amazon last year & i might watch it again in a little bit. its a kick-ass spinoff already & we dont need that damn lightyear movie. toy story 4 ruined the series enough

Late reply but I might help, if available I usually buy the 2-Disc Collector’s Edition DVDs because they’re mostly the definitive edition with all Pixar movies between A Bugs Life and Wall-E (Excluding Toy Story 2 and Cars) getting one. For the rest I usually pick up the basic release as their re-releases mostly doesn’t change much although TS1 and 2 are an exception as they have Special Editions from 2009 that are better than their basic releases, I think Toy Story’s Special Edition is the most sold one in stores but I have seen the original Toy Story 2 release in stores aswell so keep that in mind.

You were wondering why the incredibles didn't get a 3D Blu ray release. After the incredibles 2 was announced pixar said they were working on ratatouille and the incredibles on 3D for a re release for 3D in theatres. Maybe after they do that they will release the 3D Blu ray

But Blu rays have exclusive bonus features and better sound and picture quality. Also the 3d Blu ray of toy story 2 (The original print) Had a very rare deleted scene that seems to be lost media but it can be easily found and purchased for cheep. I managed to order it brand new for $13 off the original price. However the deal is finished now and has increased in price
