Pretty much no chance it will ever happen. It's been many years now, would have happened already. At a measily 18 bucks though, this set a steal. At least these DVD's magnitudes better than the Beavis and Butthead ones where Mike Judge purposefully left tons of episodes in the vault because he "doesn't like them." 🙄

Seems like the “Almost” descriptor is used as a joke much like the “Half-ish” and “Some More of Four” was. You’ve actually got the entire series right there. It gives us collectors a real headache when they keep reissuing these shows in more economically packaged cases considering we’ve already secured our original older edition box sets haha.

This is actually the complete nickelodeon series It's referred to as the "almost" because it doesn't include the short lived spike-tv "adult party cartoon" spin-off. Also some episodes may have been edited like rocko's modern life has

Not to mention many of the episodes are edited, because Paramount used the same copies they used for reruns on SpikeTV. Because SpikeTV was showing more commercials in the early 2000s than Nick was in the early 90s, many episodes had scenes cut out (kind of ironic, considering how the first dvd proudly stated it was "UNCUT").

The reason for Almost is because the Adult Party episodes are not on here. They are on another disc, so getting it on home video isn't an issue. SKIP IT! This is all you need. Trust me, you don't wanna watch Adult Party. Especially now that we know the REAL John K.

the 1st and 2nd Season discs are labeled incorrectly on the disc. Disc 3 is actually Disc 2, and Disc 3 is actually Disc 2. Also on Season 5 and Some More of Four the discs are labeled incorrectly again. Disc 3 is actually Disc 2, and vice versa. Other than that the set is a nice compact way to own all of the original Ren & Stimpy.

Idk if anyone else has this problem but mine has discs 2 and 3 swapped. So the disc says 2 on the art but the contents are disc 3 and vice versa. This is only for the first three discs in the set covering seasons 1 and 2.

It's interesting how this doesn't have any Nickelodeon branding. I guess since the Adult Party Cartoon existed and these DVDs were made around that time, Nickelodeon wanted to distance themselves from Ren and Stimpy. They also added a "mature audiences only" disclaimer because the bonus features and previews have adult language and stuff

So, I looked it up and there appears to be 53 episodes exactly, but since one is unaired, it is not on here, so this pretty much is the complete series. I looked on the Nickelodeon wiki, and there appears to be very little episodes per season. Season 1 has only 6 episodes Season 2 has 12 episodes (Technically 13 because one went unaired) Season 3 has 10 episodes Season 14 has 13 episodes and Season 5 has 11 episodes Doing the math from there, if it says there are 52 episodes, on the back of the case, it would mean that this is almost the complete series, as there are actually 53 episodes, but one episode in Season 2 went unaired. Therefore, we can conclude that this is actually the complete series boxset, but only one episode got unaired. So that would mean that only one episode is unaired, but technically, there are actually 2 episodes on there that are missing, if you count the Adult Party Cartoon, but that wasn't made by Nickelodeon, so that cannot be on there. By that logic, we can conclude that there is one (technically two, but APC one does not count) episode missing on this DVD box set

Also, according to Amazon, there's a revival movie called Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story, but it's more of a documentary. J's Blu-rays did a Blu-ray unboxing for that a while back.

The first 1.5 seasons only, which were under direction of John K. They are classic. The remainder of the discs are just corporate filler episodes recycling plot points from the first 1.5 seasons. You can safely buy the first of three individual releases comprising this set rather than this set, but for the price you might as well get this one.

Certain scenes are edited out in some of the episodes for time. The masters they used for the episodes were from SpikeTV where they edited scenes in some episodes out or shorten them for more commercials. It’s also missing The Lost Episodes DVD which has all 6 episodes from Adult Party Cartoon.

Compared to imdb season 5 episode one Ol' Blue Nose/Stupid Sidekick Union the latter is missing from this set. And 2 that weren’t part of the 5 seasons. Nothing but shorts and the log salesman.

I have the Season 5 and some more of four DVD from 2005 and it has the Ol’ Blue Nose/Stupid Sidekick Union episode on it. This set basically reused all of those discs from the Ren and Stimpy DVDs that were released in 2004/2005 The “Almost” part is referring to The Lost Episodes DVD and some episodes have certain scenes edited out or shortened because of using the SpikeTV masters. SpikeTV would edit or shorten scenes so that they more time for commercials.
