JSD 520 | QUICK UNBOXING + INSTALLATION | AND PROBLEMS!!

JSD 520 bought from Aliexpress for $25.21USD.
** Seller is Little Car City Store, who are utterly hopeless. Slow to respond and pretty much unwilling to help or provide a refund of any sort.
Video involves quick unboxing and installation.
Sadly after two days of use, the radio has now become faulty, where the LED will not turn off once the key is taken out (this did not occur prior, this developed after two days). Also have already check to ensure the 12volt battery and ignition wire weren't wired incorrectly.
If car in on, radio will not run unless radio antenna is plugged in (+ harness ofcourse). However, if antenna if out, but the radio is touching the chassis, the radio will power on and work.
ADDIT: forgot to mention, bluetooth worked superbly! Would automatically connect to phone when powered on and would resume music from it it left off. Also found the call function to work fine. Audio quality was satisfactory (if anything, same as my stock).
Only complaint, radio reception quality can be poor at times, haven't been able to figure out a fix (probs just a shit head unit ;) ).

It’s staying on because you haven’t connected the yellow wire to an accessory 12v source. You’ve connected it to a constant so it’s constantly on

I bought a Hyundai Getz and the guy had wired one of these in. The car started to do odd stuff I realized a dim blue light was on at night. I have disconnected it and the car runs properly now. I will take a good look when I get time to do it. My car had its engine warning light showing a lot while it was connected.

It's not earthed properly and earthing through the antenna. Take a wire from the radio case to the car ground (chassis). Also check if there is a permanent live (12V) feed and a separate switched feed from the ignition. If there is, check that they're the right way round.

The black ground wire has to be connected to the correct ground wire or the frame and that is why it would turn off if antenna was unplugged

im going too say you have a grounding issue when you plug the antenna in it is grounding and powering on try running a wire too something that is steel that is bolted too the vehicles structure or frame and see if it powers on, im going to guess that it will power on without the antenna needing too be plugged in if not it should work being grounded through the antenna the antenna grounds through wherever your antenna is mounted quarter panel, roof , trunk etc

Hello, have you make the reset button already? I think it's a resolution to your problem, cuz the radio some time have internal problems in mother board and need to make reset.

Same problem, the only thing you have to do is cut the second wire from the top part from electricity connector aaand solved

Hi there, I bought and installed the JSD-520 too, it seems to be working well, but the instructions that came with it are so limited and are more about trouble shooting than anything else. Have you figured it out? Muck around with it and you'll know. I believe holding down the numbers should save the radio stations. Bluetooth was easy to connect. Come up as CAR BT when searching for bluetooth devices on your phone.

1) You need to connect the yellow wire and the red wire separated, not together, so you can keep the saved settings.

@@MrSplottboy I just wrote here the dim blue light was on when it was dark. I have taken it out it had the engine warning light going on and off and the car was behaving oddly. The car now drives perfectly with it disconnected.
