No no no.. the castle's owner is not an old man.. thats legend.. it owns to a big french bank, "le crédit lyonnais".. who let it rot...

No. It is not. The owner is a private old man , since the 80's. Whatever you can imagine :-)

@wedge6128 , The owner of the castle is an old, strange and angry man who forbid anyone to come on the castle grounds. ( there our two owners, he own's the castle and half of the ground, and the other person ( who is a very nice lady ) own's the other part of the ground ) And i don't think that he has the financial ability to renovate the caste, also do i think it is already to late to rescue the castle.

This castle is actually owned by a bank. It has been sold to "Credit Lyonnais" wich is now part of "Credit Agricole".(cf: wikipedia)

Ce château se trouve dans le Loudunais dans le département de la Vienne et non dans la région du pays de la Loire :)

You are right about the owner being angry and strange, A few years ago whilst on holiday and out for an evening cycle ride with my then (young) son, we stumbled across the Manor and attempted to take a couple of photographs. I was confronted by this chap who accused us of trespassing and I became involved in a particularly heated exchange with him which almost ended in a fight. Be warned as we had to get the local deputy mayor to come out to attempt to calm the guy down!!!!

This castle is a ruin since the the 30's. The previous industrial owner had not enough revenues to rebuild it after it was totally destroyed. No roof, no floor, not wall , no door are remaining. It's just a ruin, to be seen as is.

Sorry, but this ruined castle is a private property since the 80's... and is basically in the state it was in the 30's

Hey, Not that i know, the entrance is through the cray owner …. and he will be not to kind if he notice you going in. On the other hand if you ask the co-owner on the right site of the castle … then you can see the backside of the castle ( behind the water )

Qui a ainsi massacré ces belles images ? Y'a vraiment des torgnoles qui se perdent. La musique et les arabesques qui gangrènent peu à peu l'image sont d'une laideur encore inédite, à la limite du vomitif.
