Best overall college band in the state of Alabama hands down year after year. And this is coming from an Auburn Alum. Spirit of Atlanta Alum 1980 too! I marched with several Southerners when I marched Spirit back in the day. Great guys and gals and very good players. Thanks for sharing this.

they use a part of our show from last year from the marching southern sounds, and I find that so cool that a college band would want to use our show as someone who is in high school

This show is a compilation of some of the most popular pieces they have played over the past 30 years. If there is something in that show that your band played last year, your director was probably inspired by a Southerners peformance of it. Some of the pieces are not unusual (Firebird, Over the Rainbow, Malaguena). For reference: Over the Rainbow was part of the "I'll Fly Away" show in 2012. They have played Firebird and Malaguena many times, but notably 1998 and 1995 were great versions, but Malaguena has been a Southerners staple for half a century. Fly to Paradise was 2017. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy was part of the amazing 2009 patriotic show that got a congressional commendation and saw the Southerners invited to perform in Hawaii for the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.

@@darrencarter9812 no I know they did it because we did the show last year for our high school band and they also did the flag over the band and we did that plus a lot of people who go to that college went to Thompson last year and they told us they was going to do it
