We got our FL5 back in May here in Australia, from the first batch of cars to reach Oz. I have since done a track event in it on a 18C day few weeks back ( it's in the middle of winter here ). Our local track is only 2.4km which is much shorter than the 4.3km ZIC track but it's quite hilly. I got up to 130C oil temp and 110C water temp after 3 hot laps. I would hate to think what temps it would get up to in the middle of summer here where it could get as high as 43C air temp and 62C track temp at my local track. An FK8 would have gotten hotter sooner and takes longer to cool given less cooling from its front end and less coolant capacity in its radiator. In the last couple of mths there have been many videos released by youtubers to show their Nurburgring laps and many reached 150C 2/3 into the laps before the readout blanked out and car went into limp mode not long afterwards. I am a bit shocked to find Honda didn't bother to install with even a heat exchanger on the oil filter housing to cool/warm oil with the coolant circuit like on the B16a engines. They do however have one for the transmission though! Unlike the FK8, nobody has yet to offer a FL5 specific oil cooler kit with bespoke air duct to the oil cooler. It would be a tricky task to find a spot for a decent sized cooler and duct the air to in without interfering with the aero, and yet fitting inside the existing space inside the bumper without having the cut into the bumper. Likewise an aftermarket tow hook relocation kit is also badly needed, like one offered by the FK8 by hardrace. At the moment when being towed at the trackside by rescue vehicles the front bumper will get damaged significantly. Another annoying feature of the FL5 ( may be the same as fk8? ) being the torque vectoring system ( they call it Agility Handling Assist ) doesn't turn off even when VSA is fully disabled ( both via +R long press vsa off button and pedal dance/diagnostic mode ). The AHA interferes a lot in tight slalom situations in autotests where the front brakes modulates entry and mid corner and really slows the car down a lot more than I would like. Hopefully someone on the net comes up with a hack to disable the AHA. Overall the car performed really well at the track considering it's almost showroom stock with factory PS4S tyres, we have installed a set of Endless MX72+ pads and leaned in the front struts to the max and now have just under -2.0 deg of camber and I have added a bit more toe to the car.
