The plastic is 'dying' because the sun is breaking it down. A lot of construction plastic and vapour barrier is designed to behave that way so crews know it degrades quickly if littered on a job site. You need to invest in a greenhouse plastic when you rebuild..it will last longer. :)

Oh how I would love to invest in a proper greenhouse ... sigh. Being a rental my keywords here need to be "mobile" and "cheap". I can't wait to get a chance to build something solid! Thanks for the tip!
