I have been doing autobody work for over 20 years and in that time I have learned a lot of tips and tricks of the trade. This gas tank was in very bad shape from old wreck damage and was almost too bad to fix. The bike is a 1971 honda cl350 scrambler that we got running in an older video and did some upgrades on. I am really happy with how the paint color turned out and I am excited about getting to ride it with the kids once the weather warms up.I hope this video helps someone who is wondering how they could do this on their own motorcycle or car.

I just saw this was a 2 year old video but still very relevant for all the old Honda bikes on the road. You are also an amazing mechanic, mentor and most importantly Father. Glad I ran across your videos. Thank you for all you’ve taught me from your extensive knowledge base.

I love this bike!!! But I love pretty much every bike 😅..my wife and I are new to your channel and we're trying to catch up and seeing this video shows how selfless you are when you sold it to keep your family vacation going the way you planned and have a safe return..that was a true sacrifice from one bike guy to another!! We love your family and what you guys stand for! Hope to meet you someday. GOD BLESS YOU

Soften those side cover grommets with WD-40 ,the cover will pop on and off . Helps keep the covers from cracking when pulled on unevenly . . . That old rubber gets really hard ,and the plastic tabs get brittle. Paint is Great ! Keep on doing what your doing,it's lots of fun and informative. Thanks All.

I’m glad my old CL 350 Scrambler is in nice shape appearance wise and while it is a 72 it has a 74 tank and side panels and the original 74 blue that’s very close to yours and black paint still shines, chrome is great and seat is still sweet. Now I just have to get it running again. Hasn’t been ran since the mid 80’s.

Hey man if you need more lift on that front end you can loosen up those bolts at the top of the forks then lift the motorbike up a little and let the forks hang down a little then tighten the top fork bolts, good luck. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞

I BELIEVE THAT WAS HE BEST REBUILD MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN, I BOUGHT THE SAME MOTORCYCE WHEN I WAS IN THE ARMY AND DROVE IT EVERYWHERE. TOOK IT BACK HERE TO THE STATES AND DROVE IT WHILE STATIONED AT FORT HOOD TEXAS AS THE COMMANDING GENERALS' DRIVER THEN SHIPPED IT BACK TO GERMANY AND DROVE EVERY BACK ROAD FOR 400 MILES FROM BREMERHAVEN TO BAD KREUZNACH WHERE I DROVE FOR THE COMMANDING GENERAL THERE TOO. THEN SHIPPED IT BACK TO THE STATES TO FORT HOOD AGAIN SAME JOB. I PARKED IT AT THE HQ BUILDING AND IT WENT MISSING ONE DAY. FOUND IT LATER AT A CAR LOT FOR SALE NUMBERS CHANGED AND GOT IT BACK SINCE MY NAME AND LAST 4 WERE INSCRIBED IN A HIDDEN PLACE. DROVE IT TILL 1984 WHEN A FUEL TANKER RAN OVER IT AT A GAS STATION WHILE BACKING UP. I STILL GOT 3500 FOR IT THEN I ARGUED WITH EVERYONE ABOUT IT. IN 79 I BOUGHT A HONDA 6CYL 1050CC CBX AND I STILL HAVE IT. THE KILLER POCKET ROCKET. OLD FART NOW BUT I STILL RIDE IT AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.

If I'm not mistaken, you may need to add lead to the gasoline you're putting in this motorcycle. The valve guides were different back in pre unleaded gasoline days. It'll run fine, but eventually you may need to do a valve job and install guides that are unleaded gas friendly. I think your paint looks great. The color is perfect.

That shade of blue fits 70’s vibe of the Bike. Love the blue I’ve seen a new Jeep Renegade that exact same color beautiful. So fun to see your kids playing in the snow ❄️. And the puppies are so cute ❤️ dude. Again you and the painter did a awesome job on the bike parts. You’re right Pebbles is gonna be like her dad Rocky hopping on everything. Back on the bike I agree on changing the rear sprocket ⚙️ for better highway speeds. Ralphie bless his heart he got soaked with the RC Cola and cold as it was outside I could imagine how much colder it really felt lol 😂 he’s a real trooper tho. When I was a kid those were a dime a dozen. I have owned about 20 of them. I bought four in various states of broken as a lot while I was a paramedic. I had to use an old ambulance to go get them. The guy said, "Wow, I guess you are going to try and save them." I got three decent ones, sold them all. That EXACT bike (type) was ridden by Kurt Russell in the film The Barefoot Executive (1971) I watched it the other day, a time capsule crack up!

That little rod that goes between the end of the handlebars is to help with the handles from vibrating or chattering. Same reasons you see metal bars going from the firewall to a fender. I was a mechanic for over 35 years, been working on cars since I was Raphie's age! Anything about transportation I read, collect, learn. Been to college for automotive. Super coupe? Man I had a 87 thunderbird turbo coupe I fell absolutely in love with and drove it till the wheels fell off lol it had almost 400,000 miles on it when I finally had to retire it due to some serious rust issues in the unibody like fred Flintstone style lol.. I've been looking for another in some kind of decent shape ever since.. but I'm picky and I want the style before they put the intercooler turbo systems in them but the ones I've found worth having or saving the owners aren't ready to part with yet can't say I blame them.. love your videos and the wholesome family content it's nice seeing that youve got the whole family involved.. keep up the great work! Crack a rc cola y'all deserve it!

I've put many emblems and badges on cars and bikes with double sided tape, sometimes i would take a Dremel tool and rough up the underside of an emblem and wipe it with fiberglass filler so it would be flat, then I would use the tape.

I had to buy a tank for my ‘68 as the friend I bought it from used it on a chopper he was building. I found a 1972 tank and it did not have the seam running down the middle like the early ones and it had a rounder shape and looked really nice on the bike.
6 neutrals is not good! Can we fix it in time for Ford Fest?
