In a way it inwokes the thoughts of the finnish winterwar. Small, agile troups who know their area in a hostile terraine and thus able to fight a larger enemy.

The 18 days mention in the song is how long Belgium as a whole took to be captured. The company of 40 held the German's up for 1 day. One of my top 5 Sabaton songs.

After the battle when the germans captured then they asked "where are the others" thinking they fought a much bigger force the Belgium soldiers simply laughed and said with a smile "there are no others we are all

@@JTMMTV yeah the germans should of waited till they could use the tanks i think the Belgium commander maybe thought they sabotaged the line but instead of retreating decided to hold the border to obey there original orders

I think Sabaton actually met with the last living member of the Chasseurs Ardennais that had been fighting in the battle, so some must have survived captivity.
