Love the 1150. First tractor I drove was my grandpa's MF35. Had a front end loader, snow blower, plow etc. My Grandpa was proud of it and I was too. Did a lot of work for a lot of years. on a 100 acre farm and never let him down. Wish I had it today for the memories. I am 68 years old and still have a great affection for all tractors.

The 1150 sounds really good. That old girl could handle several hundred acres, and maybe more. I started out with a 14 year old 1100 Massey back in the early eighties. It was the same age as I was, we were both 69 models. I plowed, disc, planted and cultivated with just it. I spent many hours on it. It was sort of rough. It had been what the hired people ran on the previous farm where it came from. From what I’ve seen, it looks like you really scored something special with that one! 👍🏼

Great to see the Massey getting the job done. We have a 2011 Massey combine, not many around our area, my personal opinion it does the job just as good as Deere and IH just wish they didn’t discontinue them

We’ve got a 1150 Massey too. Ive watched all your 1150 videos tonight. Ours supposedly had a bad injection pump 25 years ago and probably 15 years ago my younger brother talk dad into fixing it. $3000 dollars later the tractor would not starts to save my life!! So we pulled the heads and found a quarter sized hole in a piston!! One piston and sleeve as close to $500 back then. We dropped the oil pan and found a spun bearing and that brought getting the old tractor running to a stop. It’s crazy I remember the last time it ran and dad just thought the pump was running wide open and parked it. We have found a good running replacement engine hopefully we’ll get it swapped in one day. Yours really turned out great!

Massy tractors were good pulling tractors, 1150 and 1155,but you couldn't keep them out of the shop, diffential axels hydraulic system were sub par. Next if you know where to tinker on the ejection pump you can blow black smoke.

Got a Case 930 comfort king here my dad rebuild a little over 10 years ago. It’s not a turbo diesel, but it does smoke a little until she gets warm, and smokes pretty good when loaded up. We’ve also got a 1750 with a turbo’d 1950 engine in it, that thing like to smoke until you work it good and hard!

Your 1150 looks awesome with the duals on. Mine doesn’t have a muffler just a straight chrome pipe. Haven’t tried mine on any implements as yet. 1150s get bought up for parts and tractor pulling. She looked great working the fields. 👍🇨🇦

Watching you keep the old Masseys alive, brings back a lot of memories for me as a Massey Ferguson mechanic for a dealer in the late 70's. A 24' disk on an 1150 isn't even a workout. We pulled a heavy 24' disk with a 1466 International. Break her in easy, she's got a lot of life left. Love the videos!

That is a beautiful tractor. Almost as good looking as the 1155. Hope you got the trash out from underneath fuel tank so it wont jump out of gear. Those AC disc gangs are a trip to rebuild, 8 sided shaft, 6 sided bearings, and square hole in the blades.

She is running beautifully, if I had not seen you get it from the scrapyard I would not believe it who would dump something that valuable The MF1150 is without doubt a beautiful looking tractor and in my opinion only beaten by a late square axle MF135 Multi-Power only because the 135 was the first tractor that I ever rode on, I can still remember sitting on the flat top mudguard with my dad driving pulling a Ferguson butterfly plough ploughing steep slopes we call Cotilsi in Jersey Channel Islands.

Open station, V8, RWD and Duals. An absolutely menacing machine; and totally awesome! When I was a kid, a local farmer had a IH 1466 Black Stripe in the exact same configuration. It was and still is on my top 3 favourite tractors.

Junk is a word only used for when something no longer has a use or is no longer useable. The 1150 was a dirty napping amputee that had its' tires stolen. Hidden amongst the scrap until your friend found it quietly waiting there and told you about it. Now it's awake and working again with some clean clothes and some repurposed shoes. :)

JT, I'm sitting here in my living room watching your video . Just hearing that V8 Massey is pretty amazing. If I close my eyes I feel like I'm back on the farm working down ground. I swear that I can even smell the dirt mixed with diesel. Just can't believe all the memories it brings back. You probably think I'm crazy and maybe I am, but watching you working on the equipment, the sound of that 1150 coming to life and even the sound of the disc tearing up the corn stalks is like music to me.
