Got a 98% Galarian Ponyta with the Background! No Background Shinies, however, I accidentally caught a 100% Goomy! Evolved to Goodra and Named "Not Looking". Third Community Day Hundo of Four this year. The four Hundos of Community Days across the Year were in this order: Drampa caught as a Break from the Littens during Litten Community Day. Shiny Popplio Caught from a Field Research Task thirty Minutes into Popplio Community Day. Goomy accidentally Caught fast Catching during Day one of December Community Day. Purified a Regice for a 100% for Day Two of December Community Day. Hoping for my Third Shundo soon.

Congrats!!! I tried the trick today when the pokemon change over from the CD pokes back to the normal ones. At 5 pm I had two shinies and one changed into a costume wooloo and another a rowlet. Neither were shiny! Have they done away with this trick as it worked at the change over yesterday at 5 pm for me and I got a shiny suntret. I was so bummed as I wanted that shiny wooloo and I was shocked it and the rowlet were not shiny after changing over from a shiny beldum and tynamo.

@HarleighTrey but why? Most of the pokemon on community days have no raid or very little pvp relevance. 90% of the game is collecting for sake of collecting. They've watered down pokemon so much to make it acceptable to the masses that i really only play to get what shinies are locked in the main games and go back to the others for actual gameplay / challenge

I got 20 shinies yesterday, which is impressive because it was COLD yesterday, like negative teens Celsius where I am. Plus windchill! I got 16 shinies while on a walk, and four while sitting at home with my incense running out (while I played Balatro, lol). I even got a shiny Mankey and Kanto Ponyta, in addition to one of every mon featured yesterday plus Cyndaquil plus Porygon. And yes, I got a shiny Litten with the background card. So I just need the remainder today, which is... well, today is the day of less enthusiasm. But I'll still do it to say I've done it. Gets me walking and I can listen to podcasts. I've actually been transferring a bunch of the background card mons, because most of them are meh, plus I really don't need stuff like this cluttering up my inventory. Legendaries, shinies, hundos? Sure, I'll keep them. Special costume mons? Sure. A barely three star Chansey? Whatever.

People LOVE to spread misinfo on rates e.g. saying mega raids are 1 in 64 when they are actually 1 in 128 for all but permaboosted shinies like absol so my source for 1 in 256 is bulbapedia pokemon go shiny rates article and a few other places again I know there is plenty of misinfo

Hahaha!! Unimpressed by the field researches today. Then I watched your video… the only three width doing are… 5 star raid… party play and trade a Pokémon. Hahah!! As a single dude with no friends, now I see… also a free player, so no $5 spend… but all three of those were deleted both days. I I had such bad luck during day 1. Just a warning with the backgrounds, you can only do them with multiple people which isn’t good for players like me who play alone. I got no shinies during the special research and only 5 from the wild. A horrible day that was definitely better last year.

Why don't to take a break for December community day if players are busy with hunting shinies community on past 11 community days in the same year. I think Niantic also trying to give us a rest in silence. I always hope to change the pattern of December community day by introducing a term Pokemon because it still have many Pokemon eligible to become community day term Pokemon but it never be happen forever.
