Hi and thanks for this resource, it was super helpful for untangling jeszcze and już, especially! Your explanations and examples far outdid any texts I've encountered on the topic. In response to your question, I actually think this video would have worked better with 2 or 3 words only (so basically split into two parts). However, there is the pause button, along with my pencil and notebook). Keep up the great work! -- Robert

I prefer the longer lessons for the content. A polite suggestion, maybe colour the words to emphasise the subject matter. As an English speaker I occasionally find some of the pronunciation a little difficult, however I understand practice makes perfect. Thank you for your work and effort, much appreciated.

Out of all of the Polish learning channels, I find this one to be the best. Each video really does an excellent job in delivering the points you're looking to make, and learning Polish is not so intimidating when we have excellent teachers like yourself. The previous comment left by Gurcell is not relevant. People are learning Polish at different speeds, and at different starting points. I find learning Polish easier by isolating videos that are of interest to me. Out of interest, are you based in Warsaw?

What about a lesson on buying things ( train /bus tickets, clothes,etc) .I know you have done such videos but how about doing them at ' polish speed' ? When in a long queue at a station the clerk doesn't speak as slowly or as patiently as in your lovely videos...plus there is extra stress from the people behind you in the queue!...

Dzięki! I have trouble with celownik case. Koledze z pracy umarł ojciec. I know each word but don’t understand the sentence. This is a common problem for me in Polish. Syntax doesn’t help. Is this similar to Boli mi się głowa?
@polishwithblondes
@polishwithblondes 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question. Yes, you are right. The word order in Polish is quite flexible, so the subjects of your example sentences are at the end. It may help to find the noun in the nominative case and put it first (to help you understand it) - Głowa mnie boli (it sounds equally good), and 'Ojciec umarł (komu?) koledze z pracy (although this particular sentence sounds a bit better in the original version 'Koledze...'. As we enlarge our playlist of cases, we will get to the dative (celownik) as well, although we need to film a video about the genitive and the instrumental first :)

@@polishwithblondes thanks for the explanation! As a native English speaker the case system really appears to be abstract theory (since English really doesn’t use a complex case structure). It is not difficult to understand put extremely difficult to put in practice.

@@dieseldan5189 Add to that genders for objects (M/F/N)
@michaelmckelvey5122
@michaelmckelvey5122 4 ай бұрын
I imagine it is something like: 'the father of a colleague from work has died.' 'Boli mnie glowa' is something like 'I have a head ache.' The celownik case is the dative case. The older generation used to use the preposition ku plus dative case so we used to have ku Polce, ku Londynowi and ku Warszawie-to Poland, to London and to (or towards) Warsaw. In this regard, Russian is similar as it uses k plus the dative case. As for your example: 'koledze z pracy umarl ojciec' I would have written 'kolegi ojciec z pracy umarl' but I might be wrong! Kolegi is the genitive case of kolega, the genitive case answers the question who's? If it helps, Polish sentence construction is very much like Russian so 'glowa mnie boli' will be 'у меня голова болит' in Russian. If you learn Russian grammar you will have little difficulty in understanding Polish grammar.

Polska końcówka "ą" brzmi właśnie podobnie do "oł".
