Juan Lopez #2 is my favorite overall Cuban, but I have this specific vintage edition as well. Great cigar, and is a real treat

Been comtemplating this one for a while - Thanks for the review! Btw which air purifier do you use? I assume that's the unit that spins up every now and then and is it one you can recommend to smoke indoors? :)

Well worth a try! This is actually filmed at the cigar lounge club I'm part of, so it has about 6 different air purifiers and huge ventilation systems so I'm not too sure what to recommend haha!

I like your guys channel! Im a new cigarr smoker. Looking for a sweet/creamy cigar light/light/medium. What would you guys recommend? My favorit so far has been H upman half corona. But cigars with the more medium/full taste with dark chocolate/pepper tones i find beeing to bitter

Thank you for the kind words! From what you describe, the San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe is spot on. Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 also fits quite well (pretty much anything Hoyo actually).

Yeah the No. 1 is a corona gorda so it is longer and slimmer. The No. 2 is a great robusto though!

What an awesome review. I wish you did more reviews. You're really excellent at it. As a fellow European, it would be amazing to hear your flavour notes and thoughts on lots of the new world stuff available here especially. Hook me up brother! Even just one a month! What do you need? I'm down for Patreon if you've got one! I guess you're busy? Anyway your reviews kick ass. Cheers

When the Cubans do it right, they do it well! But, unfortunately this is not the case for most of the time or with the right price. Thanks for sharing, take care!

Very true words man! Thanks for commenting!

So untrue. This is just a popular mantra that's being repeated. I rarely, very rarely, have issues with my Cubans. In fact, I can't remember when that was the case the last time. If you care for and age your CC, they smoke beautifully. As for price, wtf are you even talking about? The NC prices are even more ridiculous. Here's an example for you: Arturo Fuente - Don Carlos (not even Personal Reserve) 345 SEK Oliva - Serie V Melanio 184 SEK Drew Estate - T52/No. 9 190 SEK Plasencia - Original Reserva 140 SEK Plasencia - Alma Fuerte 270 SEK Bolivar - Belicosos Finos 170 SEK H. Upmann - Magnum 50 210 SEK H. Upmann - Magnum 46 175 SEK Punch - Punch 200 SEK Partagas - Serie P No. 2 200 SEK Partagas - Serie D No. 4 175 SEK Partagas - Serie E No. 2 220 SEK Montecristo - Especial 182 SEK Montecristo - No. 2 220 SEK You are not telling me that an Arturo Fuente Don Carlos is twice as good as a Montecristo Especial. The opposite is probably truer. And before you bring up the prices of Cohiba. Need I remind you that the most expensive cigar is NC? And they taste like sh*t: Gurkha. At least Cohiba tastes excellent.

My regular JL No.1's are one year older than that one, and they're still as rambunctious as brand new minus whatever unpleasantness, which JL needs around 2 years to shed completely. The chemical processes that fuel their distinct Cuban power are still firing on all cylinders. This probably means that you can easily store that vitola for 10-12 years, maybe more, before you get into the truly refined stages. But I thought we agreed never to speak of this marca again ;) Work with me here buddy. You're a JL mason, whether you like it or not.
