that's what I always say. most teams should sign multiple players instead of one. like the yankees, Red Sox and mets all need more than one player. everyone in on soto currently has more than one open hole.

Pujols contract and Soto should never be compared. Pujols was a lot older. I believe on paper he was 31ish when he signed his deal. There was always rumors that pujols was older then he really was.

cant see yankees owners paying soto because they have a 2 time mvp, thats only 3 years older, for 360 million. why would they pay double for a guy who never won an award besides a SS?

But that’s the reason he’s prolly gonna double judges contract tho not cause he’s that much better it’s the age

Avery good, to incredible player, who plays for Yankees, would never go from Yanks to Boston. A Red Sox player, would go to the Yankees.

This why alot of people hate Baseball only a handful of teams run the league. No room for a mid-small market teams like my Orioles.

Sasaki will probably sign with a team doesn’t have a Japanese Starting pitcher. So might be Seattle New York Boston Anaheim

@Iamdonovan73 "A couple of weeks at the end of the sesaon"?? Lux hit .304/.391/.508 in the second half last year. The guy blew out his knee and missed an entire year. That was 90% of his problem at shortstop during the spring as well. It took him some time to gain confidence in the knee again. I'm not against trading him for something of need, but we'd regret just dumping the guy.

He hasn’t got a position, was horrendous at short stop and his throw to 1st was bad at 2nd base. Trade him whilst he still has value for a true shortstop imo.

@@Mr91Jmay Be that as it may, I was specifically addressing the comment that he only had "a couple of weeks at the end of the season". Clearly, that's not the case. He had an all-star second half. He wasn't great at 2B, but passable. His range was weak, but his arm didn't seem to create any issues from there. The best argument for trading him would be the lack of a position for him, if they insist on moving Mookie back to 2B. Lux would be mediocre at best at SS -- which would be fine if he could consistently post a .900 OPS, but I don't think that's a reasonable expectation. I would just be very careful about selling low on him because he could potentially be one of the better offensive 2B in the league.
