WHAT? Juan The Yarn Addict has a crochet along (CAL)! It's called Juans Winter Stitch 2024 Mystery CAL. Well, I'm crocheting along. It's week 3 of Juan's CAL, and I'm all caught up on my blanket squares. I want to explain a little about the CAL and show you what squares I have completed crocheting on. There's only three more weeks left in Juan The Yarn Addict's Winter Stitch 2024 Mystery CAL. You can join in on the fun too...it doesn't matter how long you take..it's fun! Also, I will be showing my Barbie Boggy Creek Blanket..it's a W.I.P., but it's coming along beautifully. Come see. Oh, and I have a few acquisitions for you to give a looksie at.

CAMP BOGGY CREEK..
Every Tuesday night at 8 PM EST Nancy (shezgotyarn2) and Lynette (charmedgrammycrochet) are doing KZbin Live. They go back and forth between their channels each Tuesday where they answer any questions we may have about Camp Boggy Creek.. Plus they are just so much fun to watch/listen to. They also have guest appearances from other Podcasters or whomever they decide they'd like to have on as a guest.
And on Wednesday nights Billie (craftyfloridian), Nancy (shezgotyarn2) & Lynette (charmedgrammycrochet) go Live to show off the beautiful blankets that our crafting community make.
The analaskancrafter (Jan)...has I think 4 patterns we can use to make certain blankets for Boggy Creek if we'd like to use them. And now Jennifer from Cinnamon Stitches on KZbin also made up a Boggy Blanket pattern we can use.
You can send 5 x 5 inch crochet squares into LynAnne over at Ninasknotscrochet. Look in her channel description box for her address. Send your squares to her. She will make them into a blanket for the kiddos at the camp.

Hi Dez. Your squares blanket is going to be gorgeous when it's put together. While I'm not a fan of pink, the stitch and color placement is pretty. I'm sure a little someone will love the blanket immensely. I sent mine directly to Boggy Creek this year but I agree, I'll make some ahead of time. I found one Mary Maxim kit that was the perfect size so I purchased a few because the discount was fantastic. Well worth the price. I'm sure there are a few more, I'll have to go looking through the kits and sizes pop them into my cart, and wait for a sale. Thanks for sharing your makes. Take care!

Love your Boggy Creek blanket! The colors are beautiful. The tails look kind of cool on the sides- another option for finishing might be tassels rather than sewn in- but I think it will look great either way. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have so many hooks. My granddaughter in law is a reviewer of products and she gets me some things all the time each one of these little kits seems to come with a package of hooks so I get an entire set every time she orders something I used to take the books out of a project when I put it in the WPI boxand put a tag on it. What hook I use but now I have a hook for every project.

Hey Deszie! I love your squares! It is going to look gorgeous with the browns. The blanket CAL is actually being worked in rounds rather than back and forth rows. I am making 2- one is going to be made from random leftover yarn from my stash. The other I am doing with Loops and Threads in an ombre- clay is the colorway. I ordered 12 and I am hoping I have enough! Your Boggy Creek blanket is going to be amazing!

Hello, Margaret!! Hubby Cubby is really excited about my blanket made from squares. Last night I showed one of Week 3's stitches worked up and his eyes lite up....so I'm crocheting up two of them. Yes, I knew that the middle part of the 'blanket' started out in the round..I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to that one since I am not crocheting it up..but thanks for letting me know just the same...I appreciate it. Wow...sounds like you made some great choices in yarns/colorways for your blankets. Now are you making both 'blankets' or are you doing one in squares and the other the 'blanket'..or both of the blanket?..wasn't sure what you meant. I hope you have enough yarn to. Just go to his KZbin page juantheyarnaddict and look for the Winter Stitch 2024 Mystery CAL. He has them for left and right handed people. You can choose to do the blanket or the blanket squares or both. I hope this helps. And you are most welcome.
