I prefer worsted,#4 yarn. So when I'm not sure of a yarn, I was looking to see what hook size it recommend to use with their yarn. If I see a 4 mm or 4.5 I'm going to think oh dear that's a little too thin for me! My go-to hook size is a 6 millimeter. I also can use a 5.5
