This is absolutely crazy. Nothing against Dilla and Common, the song is a hip hop classic, but they didn't just take the chorus. They took everything. Listen to Caldwell's original "Open Your Eyes" and then listen to "The Light". You could literally mix to two songs together and not tell the difference. You'd almost think the guys talking about this haven't heard the original which wouldn't surprise me. I'm glad Bobby got paid. He deserved it.
