Lara Wahid rings aren’t validation for love, the bond is, even though others aren’t able to see it. It is a much stronger validation than wedding rings because true love is not materialistic. At this point, I’d say they basically are married but without the papers and the ceremony. When my grandma passed away my grandpa watched them take her body and leave their home. As they took her away my grandpa was crying and said how could I possibly live without you. During her funeral he collapsed and was hospitalized and from there he just got worse and worse to the point where he couldn’t walk anymore and was bed ridden for months. He then passed shortly after her. This was his example of what I would miss without you. Everything. He couldn’t live without her because a life without her was unbearable.

Similar story: My grandpa passed away first and my grandma was physically and mentally totally okay before that happened. But after his death, she just did not want to live anymore. She stopped eating and was depressed and often would mention the fact that she just wants it to end. My aunt told me they were talking about my grandad and that she lived a very happy life but at that age, losing someone who's been there forever, just wouldn't make life worth living anymore. She died in her sleep that night, not long after my grandpa died mostly because she couldn't bear being without him...

This video was a bit emotional to watch for me. I had a love like this that I grew up with. We were married, together for over 10 years before things started to change. I can't pinpoint when it happened, but we stopped communicating. When we had problems, we brushed them under the rug because, as this couple said, we were best friends and we didn't know how to live without each other. It was easier not to deal with the issues because when our relationship was unhappy, our lives were very, very difficult. We couldn't live without each other. While that is very romantic and fairy tale-like, it is also very dangerous and potentially toxic. Your lifeline can also be your undoing. When he and I went through the (very long, difficult) process of splitting up, I questioned my will to continue to live. I didn't know how to love myself on my own, or take care of myself on my own. It was a dangerous place to be in, mentally and emotionally. Now that it's been a few years, I realize that what a lot of young people/couples don't understand is that you shouldn't give all of your soul to someone else. You need to take care of yourself first. Love yourself first. Be yourself first. When you love yourself first, this allows you to love another properly. Your life will not shatter if that person changes, or disappears, or becomes toxic to your life. You will know how prioritize yourself and change the situation. That does not mean you love them less or want to be with them less. But I think it's more realistic than the fairy tale. Their love should be a compliment to your own self-love, not the only love. That is my advice to anyone who reads this. Love yourself first, and most.

Logically you are right, but in truth I would much rather have what they have! This is personal but over time I have just found that for me much of life is just a chore. My marriage fell apart because I actually wanted my wife to be my best friend and she did not understand this. She wanted a traditional marriage and was not good at communicating with me. It killed me inside because we both really loved each other. We just had totally different needs and expectations for a relationship. I was a Christian at the time, so my outlook on love and life has changed some. I no longer wanted tradition but intimacy, brutal/loving honesty and depth. There is no place for people pleasing in my vocabulary, as I wanted our marriage to be about us period. This couple would make it if they split up, but their strong desire for each other is to be cherished. It will most likely keep them together. So for me, I would much rather have that than the self love movement going around. We are just highly intelligent animals existing in a bizarre world. Deeply connecting with another is to be prized! Best to them and you all......

I understand where you're coming from and I agree that we must all love ourselves and be comfortable in our solitude. But I also think this MUTUAL feeling of not being able to live without the other is admirable and will keep them together in the long run. The reality is if they broke up they'd be fine in the end like every couple in love who broke up. But they won't break up because they cherish what they have too much. Just caring about yourself is kind of like having one foot in and one foot out incase you break up, I'd much rather have what they have and die when my lover dies due to old age. My grandma fell very ill and died shortly after my grandpa died because she couldn't go on without him and she was buried right next to her love. To me that is more beautiful than if my grandma moved on right away and went on about self love.

I've been watching Weylie and Wah for so long that I basically grew up with the idea of their relationship as my "ideal relationship", not because they are perfect or that their relationships has no problems. This video has taught me something too. I've been watching Weylie and Wah for years and years now (so long that my sense of humour comes from them) and it was like being plunged into cold water to hear that only two months ago, Weylie thought that they might have to break up. I always had it in my head that they'd last forever because they just had to, but I see now that relationships are work, and we can never say that we won't break up down the line - but rather than make me sad, it gives me hope knowing that these two (and all of us) will have to work to make things work, and at the end of the day, it's all about how long you're willing to hold on through the bad times, because they're bound to happen. Nothing is forever, but that just means we have to work harder to make things last 💪🏼

Love is easy but relationships with a person that isn't ourselves can get complicated. We have our own thoughts and feelings.. Usually the issues arise from miscommunication. Which is what happened with them...Refusing to pretty much talk it out is what usually makes things unresolved and deteriates the bond you have. But there will always be disagreements. How you handle them is the tools for success. Not stubborness or ego. I'm happy they had this experience but also sad but in the end its a wake up call to both of them and only made them stronger and more aware.

I love Weylie and Wah, I've been watching them for more than a year. They're the only vloggers I watch and I appreciate their relationship very much and this interview made me respect them even more. The thing that I liked the most was that their responses were simple, yet deep. Just like love. You don't have to say novels about the person you love. You don't have to be flamboyant or do extreme gestures for your s/o to prove your love to them. You just have to be willing to go down the path of life with them. I loved that comment she made about love. I had been trying to figure it out for a while. I feel like this describes it perfectly. As someone who has to put everything they’re feeling into words, I had never been able to say how I loved someone. It is true love is a feeling, but it’s something quite special that makes two people bond so well. One of the hardest things about love is acknowledging it because it makes us vulnerable. In order to live a good life though, one must become vulnerable to feel special.
