there's a leaning toward universalism tone, he mentioned "born again" "trusting" in Jesus but that requires a contrite heart of confession and repentance of one's sin.

I believe Judah isn't against repentance. I think Judah is imploring us to repent because of the goodness of God rather than the lack of goodness in us. does that make sense?

The woman he is describing is so close to 18:43 onwards resonates with me. It is so eerily accurate. It isn't a coin I am looking for btw.

At 38:46 he says that the woman in The Parable of the Lost Coin reveals the Holy Spirit. Can anyone explain to me how the woman reveals the Holy Spirit?

hey dan, most of the time when I hear these comparisons I don't really thing about it and just go "oh yeah exactly, amen" and move on.. but I read your question and it triggered me to think about it a bit better. So here's what I got when I did that, hope it helps you!. (btw I'm dutch so i'll probably muckup the grammar here and there, but don't judge me :p) If you look at scripture the first thing that notices me is the attitude of the three parables. The sheperd searches actively (leaves the sheep and goes after the one), the woman searches actively (sweeps the house), but the father's just on the lookout. In this you could see the roles wich the father-son and holy spirit fullfill. The son and the spirit are, both in there own ways, searching for people who are lost. When the lost is found the father will be standing there allready looking for them to wrap is loving arms around them. If you look at the bit about the woman a bit better you'll see the way (or one of the ways perhaps) the spirit works: (luke 15) "8. Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it?" So she does three things: 1. light a lamp 2. sweep the house 3. search carefully untill she finds it. If I may speak from my own experience, those first two things are exactly what happens in my mind when for instance I'm whorshipping and really feel the spirits presence. 1) I feel the light going on in my mind: negative feelings fade away and the shitty things that have happened lose their sharpness (feelings) 2) my mind gets sweeped, I don't think of all the stupid things i've said or done, becouse of Jesus I know I AM forgiven and that there's really, really, really nothing standing between me and Dad. (thoughts) 3) after he has calmed the mess my feelings and thoughts are most of the time he goes on a carefull and thorough search for me, to bring me in de open loving arms of the father So.. I think it's actually quite a striking likeness! And now I think of it, this allso makes sense in the way I believe the spirit speaks to people, through calmness. For instance when I'm about to make a though descision or something I pray for His guidence and make the choice in wich I experience peace, believing it's the spirit who's saying 'this is the right choice to make'. So.. that's what I wanted to share, I hope this answers your question! If you have any more, just post them! Bless

Stefan B. Thank you Stefan! I appreciate you taking your time to answer my question. It really helped me understand it better. I have heard many sermons about these parables but I did not quite understand the message behind The Parable of the Lost Coin. God Bless you!

its probably there church symbol, but the triangle has three sides and God is a three part being (father, son, holy spirit) so each side of the triangle represents God... i had a thought, what if Christians had the triangle first but the devil decided to pervert its meaning
