Hey Judah, I realize you've been through some tough times and this song reflects that depth of pain. But I'd like to encourage you to think carefully about your reason for including the language that you have in this song. Though your band is not marketed for the Christian music genre, you are described as being outspoken Christians. I recently listened to a John Piper interview on how to write well (Episode 2040 on his Desiring God website) which would certainly apply to song lyrics as well. In his 7th point he states, "Our sentences do not have to be sinful in order to take sin seriously. There are powerful and creative ways to speak of the corruption and wickedness of the world without participating in it." Yes, God can take all the ugliness in our world and lives, and by his grace & forgiveness create new hearts in us that reflect our Savior. But please remember that you have a number of followers who don't need the permission you are granting to sing along in such a way. Point them to a more excellent way.

The reason this resonates with so many of us, is because of the rawness. God is not offended nor intimidated by our word choice, if you don't want to use "curse words" then don't use curse words, sing the song and swap the word out when you sing it. But dont come at this man and guilt him saying he is responsible for your feelings and the feelings of others. This is his song, his life, his expression.

Yes. The swear word hurts cause I really looked up to Judah being a so called follower for Christ. But it looks like he’s leaving his faith behind just like Chevelle and so many others who get fame in the mainstream market. This isn’t judging him. This is a brother in Christ calling out what I see as having one foot in the world and one foot in God. I wonder what his Pastor would say? God has called us to be set apart. I encouraged my teenage daughters to listen to Judah because he was a Christian in a secular market with great music. But I cannot endorse him any longer due to the profanity.
